These things are everywhere - this one in the middle of Vancouver

The first part of the Grouse Grind. It is 2.9km long and has an altitude gain of 853 metres (2800ft for the old folk). Due to the switch-backs it's steeper that it sounds.

Half way up "the grind". I was buggered - you should have seen the guy that took the photo!!

Just when I thought the sign writer had given up I found the "3/4" sign.

The top of "the grind"!! On the way back down I obeyed 3 of the 4 rules... Apparently that bear sign is a permanent fixture regardless of the facts.

Lynn Canyon, North Vancouver. They use scare tactics in their signage here. I won't show you the "Morbid Board"!
