16th August- 21st August Concreted on every man´s mind as you travel through Colombia...Medellin, said to have the most beautiful women in Colombia! it certainly did not dissapoint!!!! the women here are slim, big busted, fair or tanned...no doubt many of them had gone under the knife! There was definitely plenty of eye candy everywhere! Medellin itself was a beautiful city, surrounded by blowing mountains. We stayed near the heart of the Zona Rosa region, where all the clubs and bars were. Our hostel, called Casa Kiwi, was also the first time that i had ever come across a place filled [View Full Entry]

26th July- 1st August Quito, the capital of Ecuador, was best appreciated by the flight over its mountainess surroundings. Its filled with beautiful churches, relaxing Plazas, museums and full of history and culture. Stayed at a hostel called ¨centro Del mundo¨, otherwise known as the party hostel, where every monday, wed and friday, the hostel dishes out free rum and coke, ending in nights of absolute drunkeness and acts of debauchery (of course yours truly remained totally quiet sipping on lemonade!). We stayed in the old town, where tourists outweigh the number of locals. and where pub [View Full Entry]

18th July- 26th july The Galapagos...The land of Darwin, the place where the concept of evolution was formulated. This was definitely a dream finally realised, and it lived up to all my expectations! My flight landed on the island of Baltra, then 2 buses and a boat trip later, finally arrived at Puerto Ayora on the island of Santa Cruz. This was to be our base for the next 8 days. Visted the islands of Santa Cruz, Baltra, North Seymour, Isabella, Floreana ,and Gordon Rocks. These were the islands that Charles Darwin had developed his theroy of evolution. 17th-18th July Sunday was chill and major recovery day! awaiting the early bus at 5:30am back to Guayaquil, where i spent the day wandering through the its waterfront promenade known as Macleon 2000. bumped into a random friend in the streets and we wondered through the city, walking up cerro Santa Ana (a hill overlooking the whole city, with colourful houses, bars and restaurants along the path). Even visited its humungous cemetry. spread over a km radium, and sprawling up over a nearby mountain. the graves varied from huge monumental structures, to small boxes in a wall. often families [View Full Entry]

14th July- 17th July Crossed into Ecuador...that song by Sash just keeps coming back into my head. It was a long and grueling ordeal...these countries need to think of more efficient ways of processing border pasing! arrived in Guayaquil by 6:30 pm (having started 8:30 that morning!). Guayaquil, although not the capital, is the biggest city in Ecuador. picked up my friend Freddie that night who was arriving from Australia to join me. Its a nice enough city. Big and suprisingly clean...a vast contrast to the chaos of Peru. Some parts even reminded me of local neighbourhoods in Sydney. It [View Full Entry]

10th July having found the cheapest possible overnight bus to Trujillo, i ventured off again...well actually, it was the only bus company that wasn´t booked out...and surprisingly the most comfortable sleep i´ve had on a bus so far! for 30 soles! admittedly the valium helped! met a girl named Tess (Holland) and Ushua (Israel) on the bus and we spent the whole day exploring Trujillo. An ancient area, filled with remains from at least 3 different cultures. Having had enough of organised tours and the take take take (my money) nature of everything in Peru, we decided to do on the [View Full Entry]
