Traveling the United States offers more than anyone can imagine. The diversity of this country is unmatched. We love to see everything the US has to offer from big cities, to quiet lakes with a mountain range backdrop. The beaches are incredible wherever we go and getting to experience the variety of food and cultures never gets boring. There is something for everyone here so go out and see it!

We all slept great last night and started the day off with bacon and eggs cooked outside. What is it about food cooked outdoors that just tastes so good? a quick drive through the Badlands with opportunity to stop a few times and view some wildlife we are not used to. The Prong Horn Antelope are beutiful but this time of year they are shedding thier winter coat so most of them looked a little shabby. Lots of praried dogs and a couple of wolves spotted in the fields. We drove to Mt. Rushmore since Joe had never been there so we could snap a few pics. My favorite part of this area has always been Hill City. Just love that little town. The drive after that was somewhat boring until we got into the higher ... read more

Up early to get things ready to roll. The Winnebago factory sent over coffee and danishes for everyone to the orientation center. We watched the maditory 25 minute video and then met with one of the staff to get our ignition key. Took some pics and WE'RE OFF! First stop was in Fairmont, MN at Wal-Mart to stock up. I made a long list prior to today and decided to split it up into 3 lists so we could get out of there faster. Greg, Joe, and Mark and I each took our assigned lists and hit the store. We gathered all our items and got of there in 20 minutes. The trick is finding a place to stow everything so it won't crash on the floor while driving. Several things could be stored outside underneath ... read more

We flew from St. Louis, MO to Minneappolis to meet up with Mark's brother, Greg and Stepdad, Joe. Travel days are typically long, tiring and boring and this one was no exception. We were not counting on such limited availabitlity of resturants at the airport but we found that once you leave the security area you have basically one option. We met up with the others and went to have lunch. We had abut 4 hours to burn up so we decided to send Mark and Greg out to find food for later while Joe and I sat with the luggage. I met some of the most interesting people waiting at the transit center for the charter bus that would take us to the Winnebago factory. I started feeling like a woos for not wanting to ... read more
