After missing a nightrain out of Berlin, I finally went down to the Czech Republic to see my friends I met in Vienna that were studying abroad in Prague. This is the only place I went in Eastern Europe and I wish I could've stayed longer because it was beautiful and especially nice because I got to stay in an apartment with Claire, Shannon, and Laura -- thanks girls! We went out that night to a few different bars and then Shannon showed me around the city during the day time -- I would come back here in a heartbeat :) [View Full Entry]

Berlin... Europe » Germany » District of Berlin » Berlin
Berlin was amazing as well. I saw all the major sights by taking a Fat Tire bike tour with 2 American girls I met at my hostel -- one of them was even from Littleton! It turned out that our guide was American too -- from Florida, so that was prettty funny. The bike tour was such a fun way to see the city and I highly reccomend it to everyone -- the beer and fabulous potato and sausage soup at lunch didnt hurt either :) I def. began to notice the German roots of a lot of North Dakotan food [View Full Entry]

Amsterdam! Europe » Netherlands » North Holland » Amsterdam
This is definitely another place I would live. The city had a very cool, inviting vibe and there is tons to do and see. I met Anne and Ben, a Californian and a Canadian who were staying in my room and we all went out for my last night and saw the Redlight district and some of those famous coffee shops. Needless to say some pictures have been omitted... The next day Anne and I went to the Van Gogh museum and the Anne Frank house an then I headed out to Berlin that night -- talk about a quickie! I think this kind of looks like a Van Gogh painting -- my camera wasnt taking very good night shots towards the end...
Anne and I...
The Grasshopper -- think about the name and it'll tell you what the place is for ;)

After taking the chunnel back to Brussels and staying for a quick night and then leaving in the morning, I had arrived in Amsterdam. This is definitely another place I would live -- this city has a very cool vibe to it. I stayed with a friend of my father's (thanks Phil!) and then in a hostel for my last night. During my second day there Phil took me to two towns outside of Amsterdam along the cost called Marken and Hoorn. These towns are so precious! Here are a few pictures... [View Full Entry]

London was amazing! It was so nice to be able to understand the language and to be able to read everything. I took a free walking tour with my friend Josh and also met a really nice Canadian girl and saw all the major sights of the city. We went to a concert on Halloween night of a band that was actually from Austin, TX so that was really cool. You still ready to move here Tarryn? Cause I'm game! [View Full Entry]

Map of London...
These are so funny!
Hello London!

I only stayed a night here but it was wonderful! This town is so picturesque -- all the buildings look like Gingerbread houses, they have horse-drawn carriages everwhere, and cobblestone streets; of course the abundance of gourmet chocolate, fries, beer, and waffles don't hurt either ;) I had a beer that was brewed by Belgain monks, so funny! I loved Bruges and I would go back in a heartbeat -- I would highly reccomend it to everyone. You + Bruges = Fat and Happy :) I also met a travel buddy here who traveled to London with me the next day [View Full Entry]

Oui Oui Pari! Europe » France » Īle-de-France » Paris
In Paris once again and this time I got to see the amazing Impressionist museum, which I quickly became obssessed with ;) Got a bit sick here and stayed longer than I intended and then I couldnt get a ticket out, boo! So I was pretty happy to arrive in Brussels when I finally got there. I took tons of pictures of the art which is actually kind of pointless because you can get a better resolution online if you google it but for some reason I felt the need to do it...but if you want to look at some works [View Full Entry]

Paris...

Interlaken reminded me of Boulder because it is right at the base of mountains -- except here there are cows in the middle town that are so cute! . It was so beautiful here and the best part is I got to go skydiving over the Swiss Alps! I have a video of the whole thing to which totally freaked my parents out... The people I met here were really cool too -- everyone was going skydiving or bungee jumping or ice climbing or something crazy -- almost all the people I met on other parts of my trip had been [View Full Entry]

Bern baby Bern! Europe » Switzerland » North-West » Berne
Well Juliana and I had to part ways at last - she headed back to Rome and I went up to Switzerland. They checked my passport at least 3 times on the train which had hadnt happened to me thus far -- dont mess with the Swiss! Switzerland was so beautiful and I was thankful that in Bern they spoke mostly German-- it sounds bizarre but it was comforting to hear again. I only stayed for 2 days in the capital, and it is actually one of the smaller cities. I didnt take a ton of pictures because I was pretty [View Full Entry]

The view walking along the bridge in to the main part of town...
More of the view along the bridge...

This was my least favorite city -- note the lack of interesting pictures...the best part of the whole trip was the transvestite palm reader name Ashleigh that Juliana and I ran into walking out of one of the museums....he or she should i say, told me when I was going to get married, when I was going to die, and numerous other minor details hehe -- it was an interesting experience to say the least...
