Selinunte, one of the widest archeological parks in the world, is now provided with a 4-wheels tourist trainwhich allows the lazy traveler to visit the ruins of the antique “siceliota” city (650 a.C.). Good idea, since the 40 degrees Celsius (about 100 degrees Fahrenheit) of the Sicilian summer make the will of walking kind of weak! We suggest, the nearby Cave di Cuva (Cusa’s Caves), from where limestone blocks were extracted for the construction of temples that up to now are intact as if the construction workers were at lunch break! A 2500-year long lunch break! Take a look of the mammaSicily Blog on The Traveller on Selinunte and much much more !... read more
