WOW! Looks and sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Tons of great experiences and learning the language, too. How wonderful for you to add to your list of experiences abroad. Enjoy it all and continue to send updates. I learn from each of your blogs. Take care, Kris Kuechenmeister and family
Hey darling!!
I just spent a lovely half hour catching up with everything that's been going on with you and it sounds like you're having a blast; I'm so happy for you!! Things are going good in the bosque, we went to Wisconsin and the cities for some reclutamiento, had an adult week, Cobber orientation for potential counselors, and right now some students are here from Ancona, Chicago for a week, they leave on friday. I've learned a LOT of new things, gotten overwhelmed, and am completely happy. Well, I'm off to actividades, to teach these cool peruvian pulseras that Nini taught me. Take care, love you!!!!
Amazing! These pictures are amazing, Mallory! I want to be there so badly right now...as much as I enjoy little Fargo/Moorhead, I would trade it all to come here!
Is Chinese hard to learn? I myself am working on Japanese and have no idea what's going on! How's the Spanish coming? haha j/k ;)
Love it! I love reading your travel blogs, Mallory! They are sooo much fun and very interesting. Seeing as I probably won't ever get to travel I am living vicariously through your stories and it's wonderful! I'm glad you are enjoying your time there! Sounds like a lot of fun! (Except for the part about getting sick, I would definitely be nervous about going to a hospital in another country!) I'm just about to go read your second one that I received!
full break already! sucks that you got sick, but it sounds like you're having a good time regardless. way to not be satisfied with the commercialized experience in xi jiang. you're clearly not taking any shortcuts soaking everything in.
bummer! Hi Mallory,
So sorry to hear you were sick. I always wondered about being away from the US in a country like China or somewhere and the medical care one might receive -- very interesting and I might add--glad it wasn't me! Get well soon!
WOW! It is hard for me to comprehend the depth of the experiences that you are having abroad, Mallory. How exciting to be visiting parts of Europe that many of us back in the states, could only dream about. It sounds like you have had great tour guides, and the friendships that you are making are all very unique to each situation. The learning curve, itself, is so awesome. Some classroom, but much more hands on, it appears. How awesome it must be. I'll look forward to your April update, and I wish you many more life-long learning experiences in the weeks to come.
You are missing another blast of winter back here, and I am sure that Ethan has stories to tell about his experiences with the FLOOD. I heard today that they'll start classes tomorrow.
Take care and thanks for all of the info. about your semester abroad! Kris K.
wow sounds like you have more space there then concordia!!!
and no washing clothes by hand... sweet!
well, it seems u have already experienced so much and such little time..
thanks Hi Mallory,
Thanks for emailing me about your blog site. This is a great way to let us all know what is happening with you. I will check it often and look forward to hearing about your adventures in India.
Have lots of fun and study hard,ok?
Love ya~Aunt Dorothy
I'm a Senior from Concordia College. I'm majoring in Spanish and Global Studies with a minor in Economics. I've been very fortunate and have had the opportunity to study abroad various times. This blog is a collection of tales from time I've spent in China, India, Thailand, Spain, and Norway.
Currently, I'm back on campus in Minnesota finishing out my last semester. I don't know yet where my next entry will be posted from, but life's an adventure and I'm sure that my path will cross with a few more good stories, so stay tuned!
