Hello!!!! Pii mai means new year in Lao lenguage...it was my fourth new year celebration in 5 Months...isnt it funny?? Luang Prabang was in a continous party for about 3 days, they celebrate the buddhist new year with a water festival, which means water fight all day long! But they not only throw water... u can get also flour and some kind of cooking grease in your face...discusting!! The first day, which is the last day of the old year, Laos peolple also clean their homes (to clean out bad spirits) and visit the temples. At the second day it was a market on the main street, where people went to eat and buy birds in cages, wearing their finest cothes. Hello everybody!! Im in Laos! But im not writing about Laos today, as i want to give an account of my last days in Thailand. It was amaazing!!! I was in a city called Chiang Mai, in the north of the country. Of course people were very very nice there! It is a very relaxing city, where nobody is in a hurry...rememberd me of Uruguay :-) We (me and two girls from England and France i got to know in the bus to chaing mai) stayed in a hostel called Julie's- the best place ive stayed in my hole trip: relaxed hostel with charming atmosphere and a lot of communal space to chill out!! Im about to leave Bangkok and im sad...normally i wouldnt like such a city cause it smells, its dirty, its really crowded and its loud. But maybe this is what i like from Bangkok: the different smells, the big contrasts, the different colours, the sounds...just everything, it is the most beautiful city i have visited on my trip untill now, i just fall in love with Bangkok! I also had a great time in the south, i was in Koh Lanta and Krabi, unforgettable days of beach-chilling, snorkelling (i met some of nemos friends...but i couldnt find nemo ;-) ) reading, relaxing in the hamaca... and the beaches... read more

Hello everybody! Today ill be writing in english, with the hope of making some of you more happy! I did it, i survived the jungle!! Yees! But i have to say the truth...i was scared to go deep inside the jungle by myself... So as i did not find any company for a long trekk or to stay overnight in the jungle, i just took some trekking routes that were next to the entrance of the park. It was awsome anyway! I got to see a big iguana ( i got very scared but i think the iguana was also scared!), several different ant species (from very tiny ones to some about 2 cm long ones), different butterflies and i saw an animal, which i could not identify...i think it was a big squirrel...but there ... read more

Hallo alle zusammen!! Es tut mir leid, dass ich mich lange nicht gemeldet habe...ich habe einfach keine Zeit gehabt, jeje, war sehr beschaeftigt in Kuta... Ich weiss nicht wo ich anfangen soll zu erzaehlen! Also noch in Java habe ich den Mt. Bromo bescuht, war sehr beeindruckend auf einem Vulkan zu sein! Und sehr windig! Nach Bromo bin ich, zusammen mit 3 unglaublich nette Kanadier die ich unterwegs getroffen habe, nach Bali gekommen, Kuta... Ich kann wirklich nicht in Worten fassen was fuer eine tolle Zeit ich in Kuta hatte, so toll dass ich mir gar keine andere Orte auf Bali angeschaut habe, ich wollte einfach in Kuta bleiben...Kuta ist der Touristen Ort per excellence in Bali, ich habe mir gedacht, da werde ich es bestimmt nicht laenger als 2 Tagen aushalten...aber natuerlich kann man ... read more

Hallo!!!! Antes que nada- before i start writign- bevor ich anfange zu schreiben: Mir gehts sehr gut. Heute in Yogyakarta, die Stadt wo ich gerade bin, ist ein Unglueck passiert. Ein Flugzeug ist beim Landen in Brand geraten, mindestens 50 Personen starben. Ich hatte sowieso nicht vor von hier aus zu fliegen, auch gar nicht mit dieser Fluggesellschaft, also macht euch bitte keine sorgen. Morgen reise ich weiter aber mit dem Bus! Estoy muy bien. Hoy en Yogyakarta, la ciudad donde estoy ahora, hubo un accidente. Un avion se incendio cuando estaba aterrizando, murieron por lo menos 50 personas. Yo de todas formas no tenia pensado volar desde aca, menos con esa compania aerea, asi que por favor no se preocupen. Manan sigo viaje pero en omnibus! Im doing very well. Hola a todos! HAAAMMMMEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!! Einfach unbeschreiblich was ich die letzten Tagen erlebt und gesehen habe. Die Filipinos sind unglaublich gastfreundlich, ich wohne seit einer Woche bei Sally und bin Ehrengast. Mit Cindy, Sallys Nichte, und ihr Freund sind wir in Banaue und in Batad gewesen. Batad ist ein kleines Dorf auf 1500 m Hoehe den man nur zu Fuss erreicht (bin 2,5 Stunden bis dahin hochgewandert..echt hart!) Hier habe ich angefangen die Berge zu lieben.... Als ich die Terrassen sah war ich sprachlos, ich stand einfach da und konnte nicht glauben was ich sah, ich war geschockt. Dieser Menschenwerk ist unbeschreiblich schoen, perfekt, armonisch, einfach unglaublich. Hola! Estoy bien! Ahora en Filipinas. Aca les subi fotos de Macau. Pase solo un dia alla, justo cuando el ano nuevo chino. Ayer llegue a Filipinas, estoy en una ciudad que se llama Baguio ahora, en las montanas. En el aeropuerto conoci a una senora, mas hospitalaria y buena imposible, me invito a quedarme con ella y su familia en su casa. Pronto les subo mas fotos (que hablan mas que mil palabras!). Estoy muy feliz de estar aca, estoy muy impresionada. Aca es muy diferente que en todos los lugares que conozco, poco occidental... Hello everybody! I forgot to tell u about the karaoke...es ist das groesste Vergnuegen aller Hongkonger! Und natuerlich musste ich es auch mal erleben. Also einen abend habe ich zufaelligerweise 3 Spanier auf der Strasse getroffen, dann sind wir was essen gegangen (ohh, das Thema hab ich gar nicht erwaehnt... ich bin noch nicht verhungert! Aber mit den Stoecken kann ich immernoch nicht gut umgehen...) und dann, karaoke angesagt! Es hat ein Riesenspass gemacht, am besten schaut es euch selber an! Hongkonger are very nice and also very funny! U can see them laughing everywhere. I really dont understand what they laugh about...of course i cant understand what they say! I just learn to say 2 words in cantonese (toilet and water!) But thats not a big problem, most of the people here speak english. The ... read more
