Day 4 Greece

To recap...When we got into Lagkadia we went to the Kentrikion Hotel. The young man who worked there said we might want to stay at the Lagkadia Resort also owned by his family because the Kentrikion was too noisy. Which was true. You know those movies where the Geek families are arguing and talking loudly all at once There were a group of people probably 60's men and women standing at the d

Greece day 7

I contacted the hotel they too had made note of the puppy. It tells me others here do care and it makes me feel better. They said they have not seen him since then so I have to wonder if someone else saw his little puppy charm and took him home. It is not a tiny town so someone would have seen him. Maybe it is naive maybe not. It put my mind at rest at least partially. It is shadowed by not

April 6th in Greece

So today we left the Dovitel Hotel and took a tour of the Perama Caves. I would write about it because it was very beautiful but the whole day was overshadowed by a very bad incident. Something that has altered my entire outlook of my time spent here something that has hurt me deeply. We have been dealing with dirty looks from old men and sleazy looks from young men. We have had rude people

Tonight we are in Lagkadia. What a day. We left Athen's around 10am had to wait for the rental car. Took off for our trip through the Pelopennese. It truely amazes me how friendly everyone is. We stopped for gas and the young man there chatted with us for quite some time. Said he would love to travel to America we encouraged him. Said there really was so much to see and to travel is so much fu

Greece day 2

This morning we were up at 3am as per the last post. After a quiet breakfast in the hotel we headed to Syntagma Square to catch the HOHO bus. It is really a good tool for getting around easily and comfortably. One of the first stops was the Acropolis. Absolutely amazing. We walked through a tree lined lane picked up our tickets and proceeded to wander through a gorgeous tree and flower lined

My first time posting here. So it is an experimentThis trip was a few months in the making and I want to use this site to document some of the lesser known trip ideas we chose to follow. For one we are renting a car. Yes we are driving in Greece For another we are not doing the islands. Greece is too big to do it all. So this trip we are doing the Peloponnese and the mainland. Next greek tr
