Happy Travels Lucy I wish you the best on this adventure. I enjoyed reading what you have written thus far and can't wait to read what else you will pen. I'm traveling vicariously with you. Enjoy, be safe and most of all have fun!
From the Inca Empire to the Peruvian Amazon Cindy you are the only person I seem to be able to communicate with. I am a victim of bad wifi at Toronto Pearson airport, my own tech ignorance, an outmoded blog I think, or not, and who knows what pterodactyls assaulting me,us, life. This should take your mind of surgery for a few minutes. I am impressed at your ability to navigate this blog. I sure as hell can't. Have spent entire day hanging around this airport. Nice as it may be, as polite as the Canadians indubitably are, I'm ready to move on. I have eaten and drunk because unbelievably, my ticket says that my flight to Peru, leaving at 7 and taking 8 hrs, landing at 1:45 am their time (an hour behind us), SERVES NO MEAL. The Air Canada desk here says they have never heard of such a thing, that it is potentially illegal to strand people in the air for 8 hrs with no food, and not to worry, I will be fed. To cover myself I had some Vietnamese soup.........a fantastic SE Asian fast food place that just opened. Why can't we have this in the US. I love that food! I had to assuage my anxieties with a Godfather at the bar, with Dewars. Between trying to send texts in vein to you, Rita, Theresa , Troy and whoever, UNSUCCESSFULLY, have been reading a travel book called Shadow of the SilkRoad. Haven't read in ages. Too teched up Iguess. It's a good book. For a buck, I'lltakeit.
OK let me see if I'm going to be fed in the next 10 hrs. Later. Who knows if you'll get this? All I ever see on this blog page is the beginning of a post I sent this morning. Not the wholething. Fund and games.

Retired educational administrator, who has published travel articles and photos. I teach swimming these days, and dabble in short fiction and non-fiction. I'm a lifelong travel junkie who did Peace Corps in Senegal, West Africa when young. I tried to do some mission/charity work in Vietnam in 2013, but that trip was a misadventure which was called short by family emergency.
Now after five years of resolving family deaths and illnesses, I'm getting back on the road, in a fancy schmancy tour to PERU....From the Inca Empire to the Peruvian Amazon.
I never take tours like this but I'm ti... full info
