I started this travel blog to capture my experiences and thoughts as a single traveller. My first 'proper' experience was 17 years ago now when i took a sabbatical from work and travelled around Australia for 3 months. Since then i have been to many different countries some on my own some with friends. My favourties being South Africa, Canada, New York, New Zealand, Ethiopia, San Francisco, Dubrovnik, Italy (several times) . I returned to work and made it my aim to have amazing holidays. 17 years later and the travel bug has bitten me again, and i have applied for a 3 month sabbatical (i still work for the same company - 24 years service). If i am successful i will travel between December 2013 and March 2014. Before then though, i have a cruise booked from Boston, USA to Nova Scotia, Halifax.
