:) Hi Sara, I came upon your post because I was looking for the farm to recommend to my friend. I also WWOOFd at Gigi's farm in October 2009 and loved it sooooo much!!! I helped pick olives, scrape mint leaves off the stems, collect and clean nuts, and sell produce in the market. I loved Sandra's food and I miss it!!!
Were you able to visit Mennagio and Belaggio?
Thanks for the great post and description...it brings me back!

Wow Sara, what a wonderful experience u are having. The beauty of Italy in every area is hard to believe. But I also have seen some up north. The picture of Villa Monastero looks almost identical to the one I took of Lake Salo. Grandpa and I just watched a long video on PBS about northern and southern Italy and Sicily. Much of the film was taken by air and all the red tile roofs were so vivid. Just back from Montreal and Ottawa with Ken and Drew, then returned Tues from Jerry's for Jason and Carissa's wedding reception. Will show u pictures when(if) u return. Love and hugs.
...wow I can't believe you're back!!! I'm so happy (and jealous!) for you! Those cherries look fake, seriously, they are the most beautiful cherries I've ever seen, and they grow in Mattia's back yard? And your pictures are glorious, and you look beautiful, and AGH!!! You are truly living the dream, kiddo! Continue having the time of your life!!!

Lazy Floosy What a lazy bum u are. But how can't u help it with that setting. Beautiful scenery. Seeing those cherrie make me hungry for them. We have them here..but not just off the tree.
...wow This is all so amazing. I've been keeping up with your blog and it seemed like you were off to a rocky start at the first farm, but the trips to Germany and Spain, and now this place...it's got me convinced to WWOOF internationally at some point in my life. Your pictures and stories are so amazing, Sara. This experience can only have changed your life for the better, I hope to hear some more stories when you get back!
Love,
Jordan

Not saying you need "lessons in love", but if I had found this before you hit Germany I'd have let you know. Unless perhaps this is the musuem you found...
I'm glad you liked Germany so much. I'd actually heard that they don't understand vegetarianism which is strange because as a nation they are very into environmentalism.
Your summer sounds so epic.
awesomeness Sara,
All this sounds so amazing and I can't wait to get there!! I'm sure you'll get yourself an Italian stud soon enough. BTW, did you get my email? Let me know what you think...
grande! Wow Sara, that all sounds amazing. You are making me salivate with all that talk of Italian food. I'm really glad you're writing and I hope to hear more soon!
Well, I still don't have a real job and I haven't decided what I want to study in grad school yet, so I'm heading back to Europe to be happy again.
I will be mostly WWOOFing (world wide opportunities on organic farms) in Italy, while improving my language skills and making some academic contacts for a possible Fulbright scholarship. I'll probably do some more traveling to other countries, too. But, I might have to come back early for a job.
It's a one way ticket and largely unplanned, so I'll just wait and see where I end up... ... full info
