We will be visiting my grandparents, aunt and cousins in Guate and then we will spend some time in Hounduras. I will try to blog as much as possible with pictures. Stay tuned, oh and if you want to get emails when I post a new entry, hit the "suscribe" link. Wish us luck! ... read more

I really need to stay away from this place. If you haven't been to Guate, then Antigua is a must, otherwise, STAY AWAY. After i wrote the last blog, on the way back to the hotel, i walked by an irish pub overflowing with loud and drunk white tourist. Then, i saw another asshole taking a pictures of an indigenous family, and the family was obviously uncomfortable, but the muthafuka didnt seem to care or notice. To top it all off, this morning, as i was walking towards the rental parked a block from the hotel, i saw that someone had broken the window and stolen the fucking radio and all of the lovely music people blessed me with. AURGHHHHHHHH!!!! To be fair though, this one was my fault. The car had a removable face plate ... read more

we finally made it out of belize. we left a day earlier than we thought we would stay there. too hot, too humid and our stomachs could not handdle the caribbean food any longer. so, we began our return to guate. again, a long bus ride and two boat trips back to puerto barrios. you all know how i feel about puerto barrios, so we bounced right when we got to the port. we got on the road at about 2pm and we had not even had breakfast yet. our next destination was a place called salama in guate, a six hour drive. however, we had to stop and sleep in a small town called rio hondo cause we hungry, tired and it was getting dark. the next morning we had a great guatemalan breakfast and ... read more

Before i get into how beautiul this beach is, let me start with the negatives. First, it took us for fucking ever to get here! we drove (4hours) from honduras to puerto barrios, a port city in guatemal. We were hoping to catch a boat to punta gorda, belize but we got to puerto barrios too late. puerto barrios was ugly, dirty, hot, full of dust and smog from the freights and buses and there were 10000000 men and like, 2 women. so, we decided to take a trip to livinsgton, guatmala, and stay the night there and leave to belize from there the next morining. Livingston was nice. it was cool to hear black guatemalans great me with a "que onda, rasta". after a 30 min boat ride, we found a hotel, had dinner and ... read more

hey all byron gave me control of the keyboard today, it was hard but he let go. today we woke up late, late after a much needed sleep. after 24 hours with none. anyway we ate, had wonderful honduran coffee and went walking to the ruins. the walk was about a mile, on an old stone pathway, covered by trees and green everywhere. I would visit copan just for the lush plant life, beautiful. we got to the ruins and byron was free, one of the advantages to traveling around central america and being from central america. i paid happily, how much have they paid to the us, lots im sure. anyway the ruins were bigger then i thought, after seeing tikal i thought there would be nothing to compare, im happy to say i was ... read more

Not bad for a first day. Actually, the good fortune began before we even got to Guate. Marla and got our seats upgrated to first class. Flight was bumpy as hell though. We got to Guate at about 5am but the rental car place did not open till 6, so we had to sit around and wait for an hour. We finally got our car and the adventure began. Those of you who have travelled anywhere with me know that i have the worst sense of direction in the entire world. I get turned around in my own neighborhood! The trick was getting out of the city, from there it was to be smooth sailing. It took us about 2 hours to actually find the internatial road to Honduras. It happened to us twice today that ... read more

http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l262/lordb26/DSC01346.jpg A couple of months ago, a good friend of mine bloged his trip to Europe (what-up Mark) and I found my self checking it almost daily. I’m not saying that you will be that interested in my travel blog, but for the couple of you that will be, here it goes… I’m also doing this because I realized that I have a nice digital camera and an even nicer video camera and I don’t have either pics or vids of my favorite trips and adventures. I went to Idaho last year with Tarik and had an amazing time snowboarding and just chillin’ and the road trip was just as good, but I only have some blurry ass phone camera pictures to show for it (check my space for them). So, I am doing this to ... read more
