| 9th May 2007 Anna Koteka | - From: Brugge/Brussels Hi there, OMG you've been to Brussels. I'm so envious. I was just talking to Myc on the phone and telling her about your latest blog entry. She's envious haha. Geo's great great grandfather was originally from Belgium. He ended up in Tahiti and bred half Tahitian children, a whole host of whom ended up in the Cook Islands..... I will have to let Mehau and Talissa know you've been to the 'mother land' hahaha... Well, take care of yourself Rose. Keep up the entries. Will be calling Mum this weekend for Mother's Day. I was thinking of sending her flowers but after last year's debacle (when she sent the flowers back because they were late haha) I think I'll just make do with a phone call! Lots of love to you. | 8th March 2007 londoners | teach london got the flick - From: bummin' around Hi Rebekah, thanks for your comment! I've given them the flick and registered with ITN Teachers. They are so supportive and super efficient, am happy with them and so is jillian. Real shame about your experience with teaching here - jillian seems to think the kids' behaviour is mild in our area of hounslow borough but i'm sure we will encounter difficulties with admin and snotty students one day and when we do God help us!! haha As supply teacher, we have the luxury of being at different schools each day so we don't have to deal with the political crap that goes on in schools. All the best in US. |
| 8th March 2007 Rebekah | Good Luck with Teach London - From: bummin' around Hi there, it sounds like you are having a great time in England! I hope it goes better than my experience. I received a permanent placement at a school for special needs children through Teach London. It was much tougher than I anticipated. I was being attacked by students on a daily basis and had no support from the head. When I tried to get help from Teach London, they basically said I should keep trying to work it out with the head and they wouldn’t get involved. It ended up that I broke my contract and came back to the states early because I was so miserable. You may have better luck with supply teaching though. If you don't like the school you don't have to go back. :) Just wanted you to be aware that you’re probably on your own if you have any work issues. Best of luck! |

So glad you and Jillian are enjoying your stay in cold miserable London haha... Rarotonga is balmy, hot and humid. I think I'd rather cold miserable London!!! All's well this end.
