Today we went to Valparaiso since Tufts is taking the group next week when we will be in Peru. Valparaiso is a pretty famous city in Chile, and amongst Santiguinos. It was an hour and a half bus ride. Oh gosh, we're such Tufts students, arguing over logistics, but we finally got on the bus. So nick and i are talking about depressing topics. i am really excited for people moving into tufts!! i i hope you guys move in smoothly and have ltos of fun together! this is the best time of the whole school year, you get a couple of days, everything seems stress free, finding the new renovations on campus(what is this new soft serve machine with cookies n cream?!!!!!!!!) and of course seeing people and finding out about their amazing summers!! Today was my first day woke up so early to get to the internship. My internship is near La Moneda, which is the government palace, I guess its equivalent is the White House, but the building here is totally open, always open for tours, there is a underground museum in front of the building, its a really beautiful building with flowing waters, yahh and i work in a building on the street on one side of the building. I still can't believe I'm (almost) part of a sorority. I was just randomly looking on facebook and its like sometimes, I forget! haha. Ohhh Jenny is going to be even more jealous today. After class I decided to do some exploring so I went to Patronato which I would compare to what I thought Garment District was going to be but BIGGER!! Actually Bandera is the street with used clothes, Patronato has a lot of clothing stores that are non name brand, not really stores but more like street shops and u can't really touch the clothes, it's kinda like the markets in China ha. I thought i would write a more random entry today I just woke up at 4 pm, oh gosh, well b/c I've been waking up at 8 or 7 am every day the past week! So weird having to sleep early and then wake up sooo early, it's really painful. But I must do it in order to get to classes on time. Even though classes start at Tufts time, transportation takes forever! And I have to walk to the metro which takes 15 minutes. What a pain.
