Email address South America
If you want to continue reading my blog, please give me your email address. I don't mean to offend bc this meant to be a private blog almost a diary and I want to be able to write w.o restrictions. But I did take in your comments, thanks. Although I have a lot to say about them, I won't bc I can't educate you on centuries of Asian American history and issues. [View Full Entry]

Ohh today was a trying day...we went to the copper mine today only about an hour and half away. I woke up around 6:45 to get to the office on time at 8 am. The copper mine provided us transportation. I don't know why half the group didn't want to go...??? I mean this wasn't something we could have done on our own and don't underground copper mines sound appealing?? So we had this tour guide, this old balding man with only white hair in a ring around his head. Sighs....he was talking about how Argentina has an advantage bc it [View Full Entry]

Hi South America » Chile
I haven't been doing much so thats why I havnet been writing. Nothing to write about! been studying so much and I have more work to do(gasp) a Spanish quiz on Monday and the postponed Neruda essay for Tuesday. I despise the usage of Orient EVERYWHERE!!! And I don't feel like I should complain but goddang it. They use Orient indicating the east wing, east side of town, and for Asia. It's so ignorant I despise it but what can I do, it's ingrained into their mentality. not like thy're gonna chnage the word 'negro' for black people and the color [View Full Entry]

Yo, we´re in San Pedro now, the deserts of Northern Chile. Yesterday was Iquique. Iquique was sooo nice, hostal RIGHT by the beach. Where in the States could you get a room seriously steps from the beach for only $12 a night?? The water was beautiful, the sand, ahh! Iquique the town itself however was really run down, sketchy, lots of Chnese restaurants. The ¨Chinatown¨was disappointing, just some cheesily decorated restaurants. but I found the Chumbeques, which is this little pastry thing that Chileans of Chinese ancestry created, that is supposed to be a mix of the two cultures. In the [View Full Entry]

Arequipa morning South America » Peru » Arequipa
It´s always exciting to be able to change the country and region I´m in on travelblog, lol, yes it just completes my day. Gawwd I like just got off a 10 hr bus ride from Cusco to Arequipa where I am now. The hostal has TWO computers with FREE internet access, so that´s quite beautiful to me. I guess Cusco is more touristy bc I had to go to a cafe and pay when I was there. So Arequipa is supposed to have a canyon that is twice as deep as the Grand Canyon so I hope we go. It seems [View Full Entry]
