We were in Bangalore for 3 weeks after Hyderabad (which was week 6 of our journey!). Week 7 was spent partially ill & 3 days running a VBS at a home nearby. The week after (week 8) we helped out with the VBS & the kids from the slum down the road at the BEC here. VBS's are Vacation Bible Schools where disadvantaged kids from the area get a big special extra program of activities, education, games, singing, dancing, acting, good food, new clothes & a well needed bath too! They're lots of fun!!! so that totally consumed our time & attention! last week we went up to hyderabad for a little r & r but mostly a freshening up by checking out a new city! only one day had passed when Josh called from Bangalore saying it was boring at ome & they missed us!!! That night we went to Golkunda Fort which is near the Galbraith's house. Tim wasnt there but Maggie & John took great care of us, with Rachel (maggies friend from the UK) we had a really awesome time. The light show was amazing & the first really good touristy thing we've done for ages! We also visited a few nutrition programs. SO in Chenai, after the wedding, there was a significant amount of sleeping to be done! But that didnt mean we COMPLETELY wasted our time here! we got to see a few beautiful temples, go to the best resturant in town, & also Visit the best ice-cream parlour in town, called snofeilds!!(YYYYUUUUUUMMMYY!!) We also took a small daytrip out to MGM Dizzee World! an adventure park that was reccommended by a certain local from The CENTRE@WESTMEAD!!! haha thats right. We went! it was super fun so thanks for the reccommendations Kids ;) although... that weekend, our new friend Sri told us that the reason half of it was closed was because they are trying to shut the place down. so it looked abit dodgy... but apparently someone died on the rollercoaster me & b went on ... read more

Bangalore! For vandana's wedding! After 4 days here finally have some internet! When we first landed i was confused before even going through immigration. There was a bin on the toilet seat?! They didnt check my bags for the chocolate i brought but rather held up bhawan coz he looks like a famous cricketer lol! Outside, from all those stories, i expected to be "hit by the smell", but bangalore airport is new & about half an hour or so from the city. We're in Thailand... SO FAR on this trip -We flew over soundwave. i saw it. i saw you there!! -Australia is super big and cool from the sky... but i was the only one with the window open (much to bhawan's annoyyance whilst sleeping) -most people like to fly in a dark little pod in the sky while a beautiful world goes by underneath... i wasnt bored for a second practically constantly looking out the window -vegan meals on airoplanes...
