plumbing...
I liked the sound of the 'tourist ger' until I saw this photo - seems to completely defeat the purpose of the ger experience. But still, the plumbing aspect could sway me :)

Hot tubs and squat toilets
How great to have three fun travel friends to pop around beach resorts and venture into the deserts of Mongolia! I love how you combine hot tubs and luxurious travel with tastes of the wild life in a real ger. Glad your bladder made it back to your hotel!

Been there last holy week and it's a nice place. We visited Melaka after Kuala Lumpur then we took the bus to Singapore. I love Casa del Rio along Melaka River. Bukit St. Paul is very similar to Macau's "Ruins of St Paul". They even have a smaller counterpart of our Intramuros (Theirs is Fort of Melaka and Porta de Santiago). I'm so impressed of how they converted Melaka River into a tourist attraction which our country could also replicate for our Pasig River. Ours is even bigger in width and more lengthy than Melaka River. I think our D.O.T. has so much tp learn from Melaka in terms of how they have developed and protected their heritage sites and made them tourism haven.

How did we get to Phuket?
As my little brother, Mike, so rightly puts it; there comes a time when a little light learning of ancient times and the cultural impact of busy markets makes better sense than treading on nasty things in the sea! Keep on moving, David

Incredible colors in those photos--makes me almost want to leave my beloved mountains and luxuriate in those blues. Like you said, maybe you've just visited too many beaches. I bet after dry Mongolia, you'll be up for a float or swim again--I have faith in you!

I spoke too soon, sorry. I think TravelBlog was more fatigued than you! Now I know where all those gorgeous pictures were taken, I want to be there even more. But I'm missing your usual photos of the food.

I soon tire of beach-life too. Give me an historic monument or a chaotic market any day! Your photos make me want to be there though - even if they're all called "image"! Thank goodness for 'lifeisacelebration', eh? :-)
