Happy Birthday! I can hardly believe that you are 23! Since you didn't answer your phone, you've forced me to tell you your birth story on e-mail. It was May 23, 1985. We were living on Holland Street with Grandma and Aunt Missy. Dad and I had gone out to dinner and when we came home, Dad got ready for work--he was working third shift at Hammermill. I went to bed but was awakened at 11:30 when my water broke. I got up and went to call Dad, but when I picked up the phone, there was no dial tone! That was way before cell phones, so I didn't know what to do. I woke up Grandma and she said I'll tell Missy to drive you over to Mary's. Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom lived about a mile away. By the time we got over there, it was pretty late, so they were sleeping. I banged on the door and finally Uncle Tom opened it. I said, "Tom, I'm in labor..." Before I could finish, he said, "Well, what are you doing here?!?" I explained and went in and called Dr. Dailey. She said to wait until my contractions were five minutes apart and then come to the hospital. I called Dad and went home to wait for him. He got home in record time and he was really funny because he was so nervous. I remember driving away from the house and Grandma was standing on the porch watching us. At the hospital, the nurse let me sleep between my contractions. First thing in the morning, the day shift nurse came in, flipped on the lights and said, "Okay, young lady, we're having a baby today!" She made Dad walk me up and down the hallway and my contractions became much more intense. You were born at 11:57 a.m. on May 24, 1985...I still consider it to be one of the best days of my life. Love you and miss you...check your bank account and enjoy dinner on me and Dad...
Just wanted to wish you a wonderful birthday!!!! Sounds like you are having an awesome time. Love reading about your adventures.
Miss you, love you and take care of yourself.

Great Blog! This was a great segment, Jeremy! Love the pictures, love the concert description and love the skydiving experience - don't think I could do that, even though your words were inspiring and inviting...I think I'm too chicken for that! Funny, I was thinking about commenting on the 'hair' but thought I'd let that go....until YOU brought it up. I think your mom should send you some hair ties...yer gonna need them soon! Write again soon. It's great to hear from you!

Great to SEE you! The pictures you included were just beautiful, and it was nice to see YOU in some of them, too. I am totally enjoying the stories about the people you hang out with and live with so it's nice to put a face to the name..or rather the story. I would LOVE to have seen a photo of the kid who threw up on your shoes the whole time he said 'she love you....and the Congawhatever you called them! You look good, Jeremy, and again, I love reading about your exploits!
I'm with Tipper I am going to retroactively fail you. The first amendment prevents the government from unreasonalbly restricting your free speech - not your mother. Your mother is free to give you hell. I stand with Tipper.
TMI!!!! Ok, Jeremy, some stuff should just be left for private e-mails. As if we didn't worry about you too much already, you have just added fuel to that fire. I know you told me that the "be good and have a good time" line didn't work too well together, but perhaps you should re-think that for all of us concerned adults out here. On a more "serious" note, we have loved reading your blogs, and thanks for the post card. Keep on writing, but perhaps your room-mate ( not the congos)can proof read them before you hit the "send" button.
legal doesn't mean good hmmmm...legal? yeah, that's what they TOLD you! Do you think the congites, congidiots, or congassholes had something to do with it???? Anyhow, thank you for the postcard...that was really great and unexpected. I have thoroughly enjoyed the blog. i don't think there's been one that I haven't laughed out loud! Great job, Jeremy...keep goin! Cyndy

Christchurch Hi Jeremy...great blog on Auckland and good pix. Just remember: you can have fun without alcohol! I wanted to tell you that I spoke to Mrs. Taylor last night at the District Wrestling (there are seven kids going from Fairview...the most ever). She said that her brother has friends in Christchurch and they own a bar/restaurant. If you are looking for a job, he will call them for you. Let me know...love...Mom.
