I had an early new Years Eve at 3 am as I needed some sleep and am saving myself for a big night out Sunday for a friend in Bangkok's birthday which will probably be the all night disco, hope so anyway - "Sawatdee Bpii Mai" or Happy New Year from Leon to all my family, friends and everyone in South Australia and whomever may read this blog. |

It's hard to believe what has happened to me in Thailand and I have found a friend and family in a village where everyone seems to like having me around. Friday night I am heading back to Korat and the village, leaving from Bangkok. My friend's Grandfather passed away last night so I am not sure how everthing will be there so I guess that I will find out how a Buddhist family will deal with bereavement. Grandma is the nicest lady so I feel very sad for her and Grandpa seemed like a gentle, good man the few times that I met him recently when he was very ill. Alll the best Leon in Thailand |

The music at the clubs with the live bands and shows here make for great fun. I may do some more day tours in Bangkok of places I have not seen yet, don't think I will be going too far away though - Leon |

Hi Reet - I love everything and nearly everyone here - never had so many hugs from people ive only known for days and some since my previous trip - the Swedish biker guy invited me to their pub on the saturday night and was a really nice guy - I reckon it would have been a wild night but I was returning to Bangkok for a party here - hard to imagine i will be returning to a quieter life soon - pls let me know if it is Ok to put a link to your first Thailand blog in this blog - The lady in the restaurant was a great laugh and spoke great english and kept telling me she had no husband etc - could hear the wedding bells hehe - Will be great to read the blog for your next trip |

| 19th January 2008 leon oz | Just back from Phuket - From: PHNOM PENGH - GENOCIDE - A BETTER FUTURE FOR THE KIDS Hi Anthea, Michael, Scott and Emma - just back from Phuket after a very big week in Patong Beach and southern jungles - have had a very bad cold which is nearly gone and has not stopped me from going to "Rock City" 3 nights in a row till 2 or 3am in Patong Beach - great live music - I am going to the staff party at the pub tonite in Bangkok so I should get plenty of cold tonic to cure me - glad to hear Father is doing well - will be good to see him and you all when I return - the days are going so fast now - i want to stay but know I must return - will be some tears later in the week - bye for now - all the best. |

| 26th December 2007 leon oz | Christmas Day - From: BANGKOK - CHRISTMAS ON THE KLONGS Christmas started quiet at the klongs as per my blog and ended up at the buffet which had ham and turkey, nice, then the disco and back to my room about 330 am. Was lucky I have made some friends in Bangkok and we danced the night away, would have been very lonely but they are gr8 fun. Hope Dad is getting better, yeah the repat is a better spot for him. I am on a peregrine tour in Cambodia so I astuck with their hotel although they wont tell me what it is at this stage. |
