And when we swam up river we found some gigantic python tracts. And have been attacked by one of those monitor lizards.
templestay Hi There,
We are currently in Thailand and looking to do a Templestay in Vietnam, we found a great one in Chaing Mai but the timing didn't work out for us. How did you go about organizing the temple stay in Truc Lam Temple???
Thanks,
Kate
Hi Camille,
They told us that the only accepted 10 days minimum but some people did walk out after a shorter time. They're hardly going to stop you. We bought our white clothes before we went in but some of the girls we were with did get provided with some. I hope you enjoy your stay, watch out for the vicious mango tree!!
Question Hi there !
I'm about to go to this temple but have only 3 days, do they accept people for a short time ?
Also, do they provide you with white clothing ?
Your experience sounds like a lot of fun
Hope to read you soon ;)
Camille
memories I came across this looking for info about Wat Rampoeng for a friend. I did the 20+ day meditation course more than 10 years ago. Looks like things have changed little, though I remember the food being better... Thanks for bringing back the good memories.

"Grumpy old man rock" Hi you two, loving all the blogs again. Not sure I can see the "old man" in the rock, it reminded me more of jabba the hut. We are basking in some serious snow back here, that sun over Uluru looks very inviting. Hope to speak to you at Christmas. Love to both, Steve
Uluru rocks :) Hey you guys,
Love to read your stories. We also thought the rock wouldn't be such a 'big thing'.....but it is really stunning ej?!
I am glad you decided not to go and climb the monolith....since it is a sacred place for the aboriginals.
Your stories bring back so many good memories! Keep writing loads of bloggs please!!
Love Susan and Mark and ? :)
Could do better I think the bottom of the Christmas tree could of had a few more decoration on, but the top looks amazing. In true appraisal fashion, I think Amy should be sent back to the factory for more decoration training. Can't believe you both worked for three months, that's more than you did whilst you were in the UK. Keep enjoying yourself, you lucky......
hi Hi Guys
I just read your blog on Broken Hill. I could feel the excitement that you felt but....nah still dont get it! I am hoping that it is more to do with the contrast between old blighty and the outback and that whole novelty factor....and less to do with the fact that you have quite possibly lost your minds!!
If it is the later...please let me know and I will make arrangements for you.

Bye Lee It was great working with you - such a treat having someone there who knows stuff and reads. Hope you and Amy (Amy?) have a great trip (even though you're going to be travelling through hell at this time of year). And remember, Australia is a huge country - plenty of space to hide a corpse - so don't hitch-hike!

:) loved reading your blog - i can identify with your running out of air during learning - happened to me too! had to use the instructor's secondary regulator :p
reminiscing I just read your blog because I'm thinking about taking a short trip to Hanoi soon for some sightseeing. The Halong bay area seems really nice. Anyway, after reading the first part of your blog about all the scams, I started reliving some of the things I experienced on a recent trip to Philippines. We had a layover in Manila on our way to Cebu, and honestly, about 99% of the people I came into contact with had some scam. I wasn't prepared for this, so I did get taken a couple times at first, but I soon caught on. Hopefully I'll do well in Vietnam. Thanks!

Such a nice and beautiful place, no noisy life...just walk on the beach in sunshine, (few) crabs, and evening go to coconuts c'cafe ;)
