If It's Four P.M. in Kathmandhu, It Must be Four A.M. in Toronto! You sure did have lots to do...like wake me up!!! All kidding aside was lovely to hear from you and this blog (photos and all) really captures the magic and majesty of this place. I always thought it was overcommercialized from what I had heard...you have managed to capture its inner soul. I'm inspired! But you'll have to excuse me...I'm going back to bed! xoxox
http://www.experiencethehimalayas.com Looking north from the plains of India, most 8,000 metre peaks are obscured by nearer mountains, but in clear weather Dhaulagiri is conspicuous from northern Bihar[4] and as far south as Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.
wowwww! Mina, I'm so glad you had such a positive experience on this trek! God answered your prayers for good people and likely answered their prayers with you!
Thanks for sharing it..
Ain't No Mountain High Enough! When life gets difficult, use this journey as a symbol of the rewards that await us once we go through the process. You've ascended incredible heights and have been rewarded with beautiful scenes and generous people. Keep climbing those mountains and reaching for the stars!!!
Lucky you!!! Hi Mina,
Ian and I are enjoying your blog immensely. Reliving our trip to the same region five or six years ago. Sadly we never saw a tiger so we are a little green with envy!!!!!
We are enjoying the information and history you provide and wonder where you get this from.Do you feel very distant from your "every day life"?
We have such wonderful memories of India and Nepal, perhaps we should plan to return.
Look forward to your next instalment.
Cheers Jill and Ian
A Little Poke Never Hurt Anyone Such wonderful pictures! As gruelling as these journeys may be, it seems that the ensuing results are well worth the bumps, splashes and uncertainty. I love the proud history of the Gurkhas. Now if only we could find two men who would be willing to run with broken legs to catch our favour!!! Thanks for bringing us on the journey!

Wow! Fabulous pictures! Such a scary story with your encounter with the military. I'm surprised that you didn't pull out your two secret weapons to woo them over! I guess you only reveal them when tensions are 'riding'real high! I loved all of the animal pictures...must be quite amazing to have such close contact with nature...not simulated like it is here in North America. Add these memories to that ever-growing bank of fantastic images you are amassing on yet another incredible adventure! besitos....kevin
India Loved your comments on this part of India. We travelled through these parts of India a few years ago and really enjoyed the experience. India remains one of the favourite places we have travelled to. We enjoy reading your emails and the places you have travelled to. Our next trip is a bike ride in Germany and an Intrepid trip through Eastern Europe. Enjoy your travel! Ian & Jill
thinking of you...think you are having way too much fun... you've died and gone to heaven one too many times.Keep up the good work.
love and miss you my friend
Congratulations from Brazil Dear Mina, I loved your blog and I hope find something about our trip togeher soon here ! We enjoyed a lot and it was a pleasure spend this time together ! Hugs and Kisses, Virginia.
:-) Love your title! Had lunch on Friday with Stewie and Trak after interviews. Talked about you - all trash talk of course! Hah! Miss you like crazy..
xo
another great experience! Still enjoying reading your blog Mina and sharing your journey-you've inspired me to write one when I travel in December. Any tips?
wowee! mina, your photos are so beautiful and your writing so descriptive. thank you for sharing your adventures with me! i am jealous and bitter...;-)
Beautiful and enchanting! You should go into the travel brochure writing business...you are incredibly thorough! The marvel of Abu Simel is the 20th century engineering that moved it to higher ground when the Aswan Dam was being constructed. So thrilled for you!!! Not exactly the kind of thing you wake up so early for but I'm sure it was worth all the nonsense!!!
Mina, ton voyage semble magnifique... je pense souvent à toi car je suis entrain de lire "the salted road" and it's magic. Toutes les histoires racontées au travers du Sahara, histoires de princesses perdue dans le Sahara avec des pouvoirs de sorcières... j'ai du mal à lâcher le livre... Well I envie you very much, but I'm soo happy for you.
xoxo
