34 major cities, 17 countries and 4 amazing months. It has been such a humbling and gratifying experience. I was able to learn about 17 different countries and experience their culture. Traveling every weekend showed me the knowledge and drive I can put forth into creating unforgetable experiences and how to adapt to every single situation. The last destination. How crazy it has already come. We had a two hour train ride from Luxembourg to Paris. It flew by, I just read and when I finished my book we were quickly approaching the train station. We got into Paris Est and then had to get our way to our hotel on Metro line 13. We woke up bright and early to catch the train from the train station to the airport. We had to take a 35 minute train ride, but arrived right at the entrance to the airport. Once we got checked in we went through security to wait for our flight to board. Going through security was a new experience. Florence- We finally can say that we took our last overnight train in Europe. (Or at least for this trip!) We had to take a train from Munster to Koblenz, Germany. From Koblenz we took our overnight train to Milan, Italy. From Milan we took a train to Pisa. In Pisa we had a long time in between our trains so we headed up to see the leaning tower. Exams- My last week of school was a crazy time. I had two exams on Monday and one exam on Wednesday. Monday I went in for the whole day. I had business in the morning and it went better than expected and then I had my French oral exam that afternoon. Both turned out really well so I was happy. All my French practice on trains and in other French speaking countries really paid off. My last weekend hoorah! I cannot believe that this semester has almost come to an end. It is crazy to think that I am now taking finals and have to pack up all my things. Last Thursday night was our end-of-the-semester boat cruise. It was so much fun. We had to meet at the school and take an hour long bus ride to the Marie Astrid River. Heading to Holland. Tuesday night my whole host family was out and Emily was already in Berlin so I had the house to myself. It was a little weird not having anyone else there, but I just put in a movie and went to bed early and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Munich. Munich. Munich. What a weekend. Thursday I had no classes, but I had to get my x-ray done and Emily had to work on a group project so we decided to leave on the first train on Friday to go to Munich. This past weekend I had a long weekend in Sweden and Norway. We left Thursday night on the evening flight. I had no classes on Thursday so I went in to the chateau to use the internet and print off my boarding passes for the train. There is a new system in Luxembourg for getting a visa. If you want to stay longer than 90 days you have to go for a doctor’s visit and get a chest x-ray.
