Travel Blog Posts
most of these are scenic.. so i wont bother explaining them otherwise it will just get a little redundant... but basically, Kat, Kirin, Randy and I all took a bus out in the morning from our hostel in Galway towards the coast. From there, we walked about 2 1/2 miles to the actual coastline and wandered around in the countryside and the coastal land.. absolutely breathtaking. There wasn't much to do per say, but it was sooo nice just being able to hang out and relax.. away from all the cities wed been in prior. It was absolutely amazinggg.. :)... read more

well hello! so im sitting here perched at a computer screen with a carlsburg to my left in our hostel in Dublin. its now the "wee" hours of the fifth of november, and unlike the rest of you all, im going to bed not knowing the results of our US election. i have to say.. its pretty interesting just how equally interested the rest of the world is in our elections. despite all of the crap that ive endured here in ITALYYY.. booo...it really is a once in a lifetime experience to be around the rest of the world as such a pinnacle time in our history ( and as ive learned.. the world's history ) during this time. u gotta think..this is going to be one of those elections that we all will remember for ... read more
Here are a collection of photos from our weekend in Cinque Terre (9/6 - 7) and more from my photo collection around Firenze! As I explained in my blog (which will be posted right after this) a lot of these photos in Cinque Terre are from the INSANE 4 hour hike Kirin, Kat and I took while the rest of the group shopped :D . (Pictures from 9/18 - 10/5) So here's another batch of photos for you guys!!! I separated them from the others so you guys separate the different places and excursions. The first few are from my birthday... out karaoke-ing, dinner at the other apartment, and a trip that weekend to Cesena, Italia (a city on the Adriactic coast) to go see some friends of mine from Florida play a show. The next bunch are from a visit to the Boboli Gardens here in Forence, which are located right behind Pitti Palace on the south side of the river. I went along with my friend Kirin, his mom and his brother who are visiting from NJ! The last set of pictures in here are from our group visit to Chianti this past Friday (10/3). In Chianti we went ... read more
Well good afternoon everyone! So I finally made my way back on this thing for you guys. I'm really sorry it's taken me so long to get another entry up. I don't have internet available to me all the time (unless i want to pay 1.50 euros for a half hour of service - ie.. crap. ha) Today I got lucky... i spent a good hour inching around my apartment, laptop open and in hand, searching for ONE tiny spot where my Brick (the given nickname for my worthless, 45 lb laptop haha). As you can see, the frustration paid off for here I am! haha. On top of that things have been awful hectic, as I'll get to later. So I'll take you guys through the last few weeks events chronologically.. :::cracks knuckles::: The weekend ... read more
hey everyone!! so i finally made it over here. i honestly cant tell you how beautiful it is... its the kinda thing where it just feels like theres no words to give justice to it. (ill probably make a lot of references to places around the city.. so i apologize if it doesnt make any sense! ill try to explain.. but i definitely suggest you open up a map of florence on google so u can kinda follow along. SO.. here we go. Its funny because all before I left, everyone kept asking me if i was scared or nervous about the culture clash.. and of course about not knowing how to speak italian yet, haha. But quite honestly, i really wasnt. I didn't really even begin to take in the whole idea. I couldn't even ... read more
