Sorry I haven’t updated the blog for a couple of days, but having so much on and there only one computer in the hostel I didn’t find time! We are back in Christchurch now, the city that always sleeps! After a 7 hour bus Journey. we are now accustomed to these long bus journeys so they don’t bother as much now! On Wednesday we woke up all feeling like a bag of shit after partying hard for St Patrick’s day, managing to polish of a bottle of Duty free vodka before we went out! We had to be at the bus for 12, and we woke up at 11.45, so legged it down the road and managed to get there with a minute to spair. We got taken to the finish place got kitted up still ... read more

Sorry for no update yesterday but, didn't get back until late! The original sky Dive that we booked was cancelled at the last minute due to a fault with the plane. Luckily we managed to swap to a different company for later in the afternoon! We arrived at the center and got geared up after a short wait, then they called our name met our instructors and off we went! 9 of us crammed into the smallest inside of a plane ive ever seen. We took off and started the climb to 15,000ft this is the highest you are allowed to go commercially in the world, and only two places do it! The views where simply stunning! The weather was fine so you could see for miles, On the mountains there where still snowfields left from ... read more

Today was Bungee jump day! We had to get up early for our first jump about 15 minute drive away On the Kawraui bridge! This was the first commercial bungee jump in the world and stands at 43 tall! Dan went first in just superman pants followed by dave who enterd the water at the bottom of his jump! Next It was my time, and to be honest i was crapping myself! They get you all strapped up and get you to shuffle over to the ledge. They say a few tips ask you to look at the camer and then its 3...2...1 Bungee! The feeling was unreal, its so quick you dont get to take it in! imagine free falling with no restrictions, then the cord kicks in and you shoot back up! After we ... read more

Hello again! its been A while since I updated my blog last, but I think its best for you to read all the really exciting parts we do , rather than me writting to you how we get up late and just go to the beach everyday in coogee! We arrived In Christchurch pretty late and got a shuttle bus into the "City" In england this would be called no more than a large town. The Hostel that we had paid a deposit on, once we got there, no one was up as it was about 2am, so we had to walk around for a while until we found somewhere to stop the night! Saturday morning we got up early to try and cram in as much as we could! The city itself seemed dead as ... read more

Hi everyone Its about 9.10 in the evening here at the moment. Sorry for the delay in updates but its been pretty hectic since we arrived here! For startes the flight was delayed coming into Bangkok beacuse of the snow in the UK( lucky buggars, the one time we leave the country you get the best snow for years, typical). Once we finally we borded the plane, we had to wait around again as a child and their family where removed because they had a fever! so in total I think we where around 2 n half hours delayed. Craig (my cousin) picked us up from the airport and we went back to his house about 40 minutes from sydney in Baulkham hills. We spent the rest of the day catching up and finally getting round ... read more

Arrived in Sydney today after a delayed flight from Bangkok. We Left jack for his flight back to the Uk, but with all the snow he might not be back for a while! We took the Ferry To Phi phi after a reasonable nights kip in the smelly hotel located in Phuket Town. The Ferry was rammed and we where forced to sit outside with the bags, but met a sweedish guy on there who I think drank more beer than water on his Holliday. On arrival we where bombarded with touts for hotels, but eventually managed to find a bungalow in the hills made of bamboo where the trees and rocks of the hill where part of your room, quite quaint. We hit the beach on the far side of phi phi which was hit ... read more

Greetings! I am currently sitting in a Hotel lobbey in the rather less touristy town of Phuket Town. Thankfully I have found a Computer to escape the Hotel which we sadly booked into, which we have named battersby dogs home, more about this in the next blog though! We arrived in Patong beach, sleep deprived, sweaty, and pissed off after spending the last 17 hours in a bus! We searched around for accomodation, and just of the main drag saw a sign saying : VIP Backpackers! This title left a lot to be desierd, as on the way up the stairs to the front door, there where large holes in the walls and other gaps filled by old thai newspapers; The cost 250 bhat a night, 5 quid- we snapped his hand off! The room consisted ... read more

What the most unusual “thing” you have eaten ? We have tried thai dishes when we have no idea whats in them, Some come with this very wierd tasting noddle, which are more like sheets of pasta than noodles. We have also tried all there drinks, Mia Kong - a wheat whisky 35% and very cheap - thastes like shite though! Dragon Fruit smoothies from the little thai women are very good too! Has baby David txtd home ? He has attempted to but only jacks phone works out here. Met any other back packers ? Met a group of Canadian Guys on the way to phuket on the back of a pick up truck, we had to sit over the end on a home made rail with just road below us. Then we stumbled across ... read more
