oh how i miss those beaches :) i was just there this past summer for a summer session at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Were you able to get up to North Shore? That has got to be my favorite place on Earth right now...looks like you had a lot of fun!

Question about how you got from Tunisia to Libya
Hi Kelly and Iain, My name is Gary (I´m from Canada) and am currently staying in Sousse, Tunisia with 2 other fellow Canadians. Anyway, we´re wanting to travel from here to Libya across the land border and are just trying to find some information on doing this. If you have time, it would be HUGELY appreciated if you could send me an email at bearchell@hotmail.com with any information you might be able to offer. In particular any information relating to visas (did you get yours when you were in Australia? Do you know if there´s any possibility of actually getting it at the border?), how you guys got into Libya (did you fly, or travel by land?), or anything else that we don´t know about yet!! Thank you so much in advance, and I look forward to the possibility of hearing back from you! (and am reading your blogs now too :)

Hi
I've just read 4 of your entries to the kids. Maria got bored really quickly but Tom stayed for them all. The arab names are really hard to read so I was just making up names that sounded arabic but were easier to pronounce. At every mention of Star Wars he got really interested and then when you mentioned the dinosaurs he started asking how long it is till you are back and he can see the pics. It's a pity about the pictures but it is still great to hear about what you are up to. See you Gaby

Hola amigos!!
As you can tell, I'm following your trip. Sounds great. I love this website. When I first visited it, I got hooked and spent HOURS reading posts from places I have been and/or was interested in. I still can't believe there weren't even emails when I was out there. It makes me feel from the stone age!! Keep posting!! G

Beautiful pictures
Thank you for sharing these lovely pictures from Hue. I heard that the weather there is notoriously bad, but all the pictures came out great with blue sky! So what is the best time to visit this city? Thanks
