Let's be realistic: we've all got to get older. Even the age-defying superstars can't avoid it. So we have two choices: resent it and moan about it - or try to find a way of staying fit and healthy for as long as we can.
We all know people who never have a good word to say about anyone or anything. They make my shoulders slump and my spirits fall. If you have friends like that, dump them. It's tough enough getting older without being surrounded by negative miseries.

Despite Monaco's lingering image as "a sunny place for shady people," in W. Somerset Maugham's famous phrase, present-day Monaco is really more of a conventioneer and package-tour destination. Only 4 percent of its state revenues comes from the storied casino, now mostly patronized by hard-bitten Russians, and just 10 percent comes from banking transactions. The biggest chunk of national revenue, about two-thirds, comes from a value-added tax on goods and services sold in Monaco, which the principality shares with France. I would definitely recommend a trip to Monte Carlo, Monaco taking a chance to stroll the waterfront and get a glimpse of how some of the high society folks live. You will either leave Monte Carlo - just like me - in awe of all the amazing elegance and the high style living wondering where people ... read more

Spending 40 years together is a great reason to celebrate! We are taking a two weeks cruise (guess where) on the Danube and the Rhine. 16 Days - A Truly Grand Cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam through the Heart of Europe and Across the Continental Divide -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- by Sam Walter Foss (1858 - 1911) WE'VE lived for forty years, dear wife, And walked together side by side, And you today are just as dear As when you were my bride. I've tried to make life glad for you, One long, sweet honeymoon of joy, A dream of marital content, Without the least alloy. I've smoothed all boulders from our path, That we in peace might toil along, By always hastening to admit That I was right a... read more

Keukenhof in Dutch: Kitchen garden, also known as the Garden of Europe, is situated near Lisse, Netherlands, and is the world's largest flower garden. Approximately 7,000,000 (seven million) flower bulbs are planted annually in the park. The best time to visit is early morning, right after the park opens. After lunch it is a zoo......... Keukenhof is open annually from the last week in March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather. In 2009 Keukenhof will be open from March 19 to May 21. ... read more

7 Days Cruise on the Danube on a brand new boat. My only aim was - when searching the river cruise market -to find a brand new boat. The funny part is that the prices do not reflect the age of the boat. You have to do your home work to find out everything that is possible about river cruising. This boat (Amacello) was built in Netherlands and started sailing four weeks ago. The company ordering the boat is Australian and originally built it for Australian customers in mind. Right now is being used equally by American and Australian passengers. I would not recommend this cruise for a younger crowd. European river cruise is one of the most enjoyable and hassle-free ways to explore Europe's castles, cathedrals and picturesque villages. It's a simple way to travel ... read more

I have to admit that we have spent a gorgeous week in Budapest. With the exception of family visit, everything was picture perfect......I am showing certain rates for you, just as an example of rising prices in Hungary for tourists, not to mention for the Hungarians. All together we have spent 7 nights in Budapest and there was some spitting on certain days but no real rain and the temperature was around 20 Celsius, so I am not complaining about the weather at all. For some reason I have decided to arrange a musical week for us in Budapest. Big mistake...... Take my word for it; don't go for musicals, just for concerts and theatre........ We have arrived Saturday afternoon. The flight from Toronto to Frankfurt was on time and event less. From Frankfurt to Budapest ... read more
