RFDS Cairns
Hi Andy and Caroline Hope you had Christmas together and enjoyed. RFDS Visitors Centre closed due to financial pressure. Needed maintenance, and money tight to do more pressing RFDS things. I miss it but life goes on, as you know in another direction. Hope 2011 is good to you and all your wishes and plans go full steam ahead. All the best Lyn Hortin Cairns

Len Beadell
If you do nothing else , you must do the Len Beadell Roads and Canning Stock Route with your 4 WD friends. It is a memorable experience like nothing else that you have done so far. I would do it again in a heart beat..... Still loving your blog, (have followed it from day one) You have taught and inspired me to keep dreaming of seeing this great country of ours. Thank you, continue to enjoy life and blog. Good luck on becoming Aussie citizen from the lady at the Royal Flying Doctor's Visitors Centre in Cairns (which has now closed down), whom you where talking to re Cape York roads before you did same.

Hope all is well
Just saw on the news about a 'refugee' ship that capsized on Christmas Island. Sound like pretty bad weather. Hope all is well there. Wow. How did you manage all that time together when you were travelling? Sure seems like you have been apart, more than together since you started working. And, I think, you mentioned that your jobs in the UK kept you apart for long periods of time. Linda and I did that travel thing for only 3 months and it was absolutely great. Such a wonderful country to travel in. Keep up the occasionaly blog as I, and others, like to keep track of where you are and what you are doing.

Flooding at Gumly Gumly
I was wondering how things were going at the farm. It seems that farmers go from one extreme to another. Don't know how they cope. I was living in Gumly Gumly in the early 1980s when it last flooded. Most houses away from the river are fine but properties on the Eunony Bridge road always suffer. When the Eunony bridge was opened in the 70s it was boasted to be the only flood-free bridge in the Wagga area. Nobody mentioned that the bridge might be flood-free but the roads approaching it weren't! Enjoy your Christmas in Woollongong. John.

You're making us feel homesick!
Hi Caroline (and Andy), it was great to see photos of the Wallaby Wanderers with you in Tamworth, UK and also photos of Bath. Our house is about 20 miles from there so it made us feel very homesick. We feel sad that we won't see Sarah and Darryl for a while yet but we are having a great time - we're in Noosa at the moment. Best wishes, Jan and Graham

swamp wallaby
Hi, I grew up in this area and we always referred to these wallabies as swamp wallabies. Also, my son is currently doing a project on Minnamurra Rainforest, which is part of the Buddaroo National Park, and through his research he has also found the Swamp Wallaby to be native to the area. Hope this helps :) kind regards

Becs the Journalist
Great blog Becs. We said our Goodbyes to Caroline today as she makes her way back to Canberra. Oh dear it was even harder this time to say our goodbyes and a box of tissues was very quickly used up. Australia sounds wonderful through Caroline and Andy's brilliant blogs and photos, and a few other travellers blogs too. Perhaps it won't be too long before we can pay a visit. S & J.

The Big Wet
Well done Bec. Enjoyed the read and glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the help with the chores as well. Could do with your help to-day raking silage before the next big wet. You are most welcome to come and stay any time and thanks for chasing the sheep out of the garden before they ruined it.

Good stuff
Your blogs are just about getting back to the great stuff you wrote when you were travelling around the country. Which is what you are doing right now, I guess. Anyway. Love the blog Caroline, it must have been really, really difficult to keep such a secret. I am sure your mates were shocked and excited to see you. Great work guys. Continue it. Can't wait till you are on the road again.

I love the way you're able to write Caroline. You put so much emotion into your phrases. Hope you have a fantastic time in Bath (you've totally managed to confuse me as to when you're 'here')!!

Never been away
Been there, done that - it's like the time away never happened at all, or was just a dream.

The memories
Love the photo's, that night in Broome with the cloud was truly amazing. I'm showing Ken your blog saying 'Ihave that photo!' Karijini, Broome and Middle Lagoon were also right up there on our highlights list. Enjoy the Chrissy break and hope to catch up soon xx
