The journey that changed our live.. Hi Jill,
I'm so hppy to read all your travel stories, knowing that i was a little part of it with you! A great time we had in the everglades. I know that my travel made me the richest person in the world, aldo my banc account says something different!
I hope you have the same great experiences as me, and know that mi casa e to casa!
Kis,
Julia
Fantastic! So exciting to follow you on your adventure.
It's getting me psyched for my India trip. I totally get what you're saying about the photograpy. In Laos I felt at times like I was stealing something from the people I shot, making an object of them in their pictureque poverty. At the suggestion of our guide, we brought junky candy for the toddlers, which made it a tiny bit more of an exchange. I guess.
Jill---really??? Omigosh, girl, what an adventurous life you are leading! Good to know you are still alive and having fun...Melissa and I thought we were meeting you when you got back to the 'Lana area, but never heard from you (I guess you got a better offer?:) Pls keep the blogs coming so I can further my education AND live a little vicariously. Love you!
ShooShooLee Who? Does the wine you drank somehow orb you onto a dangerous highway? My favorite picture so far! Too odd. Please don't use the micro lens for some great pics of that hippo's teeth!!
history First of all, because you know how my mind works, Tutu and Mandela -- easy trivia. Second, it's great to hear you're there and learning; what a trip! Jo'berg sounds fascinating, and full of people full of stories... Apparently, you needed to sit in on a World History class or two, but that would have provided only half the story anyway, as the people are the story. Maybe you can do a guest appearance at the end of the semester some time. I'm just saying. Have a safe and exciting trip into the wilderness!
HA! Love the blog. But what's up with nothing between the first entry on 9/22 heading to Dalton, and 11/23 in GC? Did the TFS (and friends) even happen? Just sayin...:)
Yahoo!! SO great to hear from you here!!
We celebrated with Wendy & Michael, Beth & Mark ~ a relaxing wonderful beginning to 2011 ~ and we were thinking of you!!
Big hugs ~ and we can't wait to hear how 2011 unfolds for you!
Love,
Nancy & David
I love you and I love this... My dear friend, what an adventure it seems you're on!! I love hearing about it; my only complaint is that I want more more more!! Wherefore, one-way or round-trip, destination or journey, searching or being, what next, will you come through DC if you head back east, what are you seeing and thinking about along the way (other than getting meta about the blog)? Love and love and more love to you.
Amazing Well...just read your first two entries. For someone that has never written a blog before I was captivated...enjoyed reading your detailed descriptions of the places you've been and seeing the pictures. Looking forward to your next entry.
GREAT photos! Yahoo!! So fun to see your writing and your photos!
Big hugs, safe travels, and if you want to add "house raising" to your list of things to do, come on by on the 11th/12th ~ it will be a party, and some heavy lifting!
We look forward to reading more!
Big hugs!
Nancy and David
Lovely Sedona Dear Jill,
So glad to hear you are doing well!! Do you love Sedona, or what? Such a nice place to spend time.... We miss you here in Spearfish! Steve and I have been wondering about you. We have snow, beautiful snow!!! And lots of it!! The ski hills are open, but it is super cold. Have a super fun time.
God bless!! Mary Kay and Steve
The Wild West! Hey Jill --
Thank you for the blog and the pictures. It's a trifle gray and gloomy in Boston today. Such a pleasure to see beyond local clouds.

Good to hear from you Hi Jill,
What a coincidence, Sandy, Lori, Lisa and I were just wondering how you were doing, and not 30 minutes later your email pops up.
It is good to hear that you are well and enjoying your trek.
I will keep checking your blog for updates.
Happy belated Thanksgiving!
Georgia
Thanks Hey, thanks for all the lovely photos. Blogging about your travels is a great idea. That way we don't have to wait till you get back to see the pics and hear the stories. Keep those entries coming.

Well into my 46th year on the planet, feeling less than satisfied with my work and my everyday existence, I quit my job, threw my things in storage, loaded my Jeep with my bicycle, camping gear, cat, camera, clothes for all weather conditions and various contingencies, and I'm now driving away from the life I'd been living.
I'm not looking for anything in particular - just looking around. I want to see things I've never seen, do things I've never done. If along the way I can do some sort of mid-life re-assessment, all the better. We'll see.... full info
