Last Leg Home... North America » United States » Kentucky By jtyler July 12th 2007 tyler Well we are at the Comfort Suites at Paducah, Ky. I am glad to be almost home eventhough the trip has been great. I wish we had had better internet services so I could have kept you all up to date. We have driven a lot the last two days. Spearfish SD to Omaha NE yesterday the 11th. And Omaha to Paducah today. We have been through the very center of Souix City, Omaha, Kansas City, and St. Louis. Well hi again we found out that just because a motel says they have free wifi dosen't really mean they do. I have been rolling and we are in South Dakota now going to Mt. Rushmore today. We have seen so many animals we lost count. No moose or big horn though. I'll try to add pics tonight. hopfully we'll have wifi in our room and I won't have to sit in the lobby. Call mom and she can tell you how to look up out white water pics. We almost lost our guide...... read more

Hey we made it to Jackson Hole yesterday but I was to tired to enter a blog. When we got here there was a stressful moment when we found out we did not have a room and we had to call about 10 motels to find one. The first we found was 350 a night then we found a recently canceled room for much less and booked it on the phone with a Credit card.. so with sleeping in the camper top overted we checked in, breathed a sigh of relief, and headed to Bubba's BBQ for some awsome ribs and chicken... Our trip up was beautiful and we saw a bald eagle. He was to far away for a pic. We are excited to go up to Jenny lake today and possibly to Yellowstone. ... read more

We Saw the Grand Canyon North America » United States » Utah » Cedar City By jtyler July 6th 2007 tylerToday we saw the Grand Canyon. It was awsome... I have some pretty good pics. Then we went on our way and and wound up on Hwy 14 it was beautiful and we were all excited that we saw about 20 - 25 deer in 35 miles. We made it all the way to I 15 in Utah. Day 1- 3 tyler Today we drove to Williams AZ. We spent the night at the Hilton in Santa Fe last night. Note to self Hilton's don't have free internet.. We went to the Georgia O'keefe Museum and I walked around in awe... the guards were a pain though Ethan bumped into the wall and the guy said Sr. please don't touch the wall. And then I was outside and they came running out to tell me I couldn't take a pic of the sculpture.. Meanies... Well after we left Santa Fe we got a little lost... Firstday a long drive North America » United States » Texas » Dallas By jtyler July 3rd 2007 tylerWe had a long day of driving today. We stopped and saw the Uss Alabama and stretched our legs. After that we turned towards Jackson Miss. Then at Jackson we hit I20 and kept on rolling. We had planned to stay in Tyler TX but when we got there we decided to brave Dallas at a slow time which was a good Idea. Now it is 11:00 pm and we are all tired and waiting on Pizza and wings. Untitled tylerI am getting packed and washing the kids cloths. They have just come in from a week at camp. Dale and I, along with help from Dad put the camper top on the truck. our stuff should be safe and dry. Tomorrow we will go to church and finish packing and then leave Monday morning... I am getting so excited and a little worried about the floods in Texas. Maybe that rain will move over here and help us out we could sure use some rain here.
