| 26th August 2006 LindaLee | So Sad - From: Thailand and The End Well guys, I know your families are very glad that you're home now, but I will miss reading your entries from all your travels. It's been so entertaining and interesting to stay abreast of what you were doing and where you were going, and the writing has been excellent...a nice mix of human interest, history and culture...great photos, too. Too bad I didn't have the chance to invite you to our seaside hamlet in Oregon when you were on the west coast. We could have taken the boat out for dungeness crab and gathered mussels on the beach. I don't suppose you'll be this way again, but if so, look us up: www.bandon.com All the best to you now that you're back in the real world again. The transition will no doubt be difficult but I know you'll manage. :-) LindaLee |
| 14th August 2006 bob | beatin up by a tart ............again!!!!! - From: Goodbye Canada what can i say..........a-shamedly yours. father...!!!! |

| 11th August 2006 Chelsea | merry xmas - From: Goodbye Canada Hi guys. Kristian once told me that checking this thing for comments was full of anticipation like waiting for a gift. I see its been a while since it was updated or commented on but that you also check it every day so........hope you are enjoying thailand. Keep practicing the German John and Kristian, Canada says your welcome. Seriously, the whole country - I asked them all. The angry beaver crew misses you and you are welcome back any time. I promise not to hit you with a stuffed racoon or whatever that was. hahaha, oh hitchhiker lady. |
| 31st July 2006 Dease | hey mate - From: The Great White North Great photos dude i am extremely jealous. Happy birthday for the other day, i had a quiet beer for you back here in the cold i call Morwell. Great to hear that you are having a ball. The angry beaver, what a corker of a name!!!!! Keep going Dease |
| 30th July 2006 Bob,Linda&Lace | - From: The Great White North Kristian........wow...what can we say? Those photos are outstanding! and by far that is your best blog to date. You have sure made some friends for life there. By the way have a very happy birthday, you missed out on birthday cake at Maccas with the family and opted to go white water rafting in the rapids somewhere in the Yukon (cant work that one out). Next Sunday i'll be on the water cruising around at a somewhat more sedate pace than you have been. I'll be cruising around Western Port at a liesurely six knots, nowhere in your league. My cruise will be rated negative class one. Unfortunately it'll be my 50th. Keep up the good work Pudd, keep having fun, and mum said to bring home a bison if it's not too much trouble. Ok cya, luv mum and dad |
| 29th July 2006 Linda, Bandon, Oregon | Wow! - From: The Great White North So much fun reading your notes (and fantastic photos!) from the great NorthWest....closer to my part of the planet, and thinking about the two of you traveling so easily from one part of the world to another. What an experience you're having! And Happy Belated Birthday! |
| 28th July 2006 Monica Sweeney | Happy Birthday - From: The Great White North Happy 25th Birthday Kristain, it certainly would be one you will remember. Loved reading about your experiences in the great white north of Canada. The photos are fantastic, I guess it is a photographers paradise in that part of the world. How are you and John ever going to settle down to an ordinary life again. It sounds as if you both have had a wonderful time, see you when you return. Love from Monica, John and Bede. |
| 28th July 2006 Maree & David Bannister | Happy Birthday - From: The Great White North Blimey Pudd ... 25 years, I guess we should be feeling old, but hang it!! Hope you had a great day of celebration and don't worry about Bobbie Boy ... we'll celebrate with him also on August 6th ... you know us, we'll go anywhere to celebrate!! Your trip north appears to have been absolutely out of this world ... what a grand experience ... once in a lifetime and all that stuff. Hope catching up with Sweeno is just as good .. and at some stage you need to come back home, dammit! So, enjoy it all now ... love Maree & David B. xoxo |
| 27th July 2006 Erika | Spain!!!!!!!!!! - From: Spanien Hello!!!! I will be heading off to Spain on 19 August and Barcelona is my last stop in Spain. But everyone has warned me that I should only take a couple of euros with me when going out. Whatever you do, don't think of the phone, wallet and camera, think of your swim in the ocean and who you were with. Everyone (well may be everyone) has done a swim at 4am in the morning and that's at home. Those materialistic things, well that's what it is, things. Anyway, take care and if you come to London before 18 August, give me a call. Erika |
| 25th July 2006 Ria Jane | Mick Turner!! - From: Spanien Ha ha thats so funny, your quest to find someone close to Mick Turner has taken you all the way to Barcelona!! I still remember those crap msgs you sent me just saying two words, "Mick Turner" Anyway sounds like you are having an awesome time, you may or may not know that i have moved back home to the land of the pines, all in the greater good of saving money for a house...stay safe boys and look forward to seeing the both of you, love always riajane xx |
| 18th July 2006 Maree Bannister | The Band Man - From: Ract Festival 2006, Tübingen, Germany I cannot believe the time you are having overseas and can't help thinking what a wealth of experience is being gained. I'm so glad you took off and are now being challenged by it all. It makes me think I wouldn't mind being this young and carefree again!! Take care and enjoy Spain and the flamencos and the beautiful Canada and Alaska. love to you both .... Maree & David Bannister |
| 17th July 2006 elise | howdy boys! - From: Ract Festival 2006, Tübingen, Germany well the tales of your travels continue to fascinate every time i open my email! congratulations john on your writing success hitting the big time in german newspapers. i noticed your copyright at the bottom of the blog. did they get your expressed written consent to publish your work as the law demands? just a thought - sue em for extra spending money in spain. careful of the bears in alaska puddy!!!! xxx elise |
| 10th July 2006 Linda, Bandon, Oregon | - From: Paris Wow...great reading and good photos! Thanks for the trip to Paris. |
| 6th July 2006 Bob | Good Times - From: Happy Canada Day!! Hi pudd, yep i think you'd be kickin yer-self if you hadn't gone back to visit Chelsea, she looks absolutely gorgeous, and you two look like yer havin a really great time. The photos are fantastic and yes yer right,it's gonna take you for-ever to settle back into work ,i'm afraid that you'll be makin a fair few mistakes fer a while.Tell Chelsea's parents thanks for looking after our boy so well and if Chelsea ever found her way over then we woulld love to reciprocate.I have been enjoying watching Wimbledon pudd with my boy going swimmingly until to-day when he got beaten by Marcos Bagdadis, it's realy frustrating be-cos if Hewitt just played agressively like he does when he has his serve broken he'd be ok but he just has gotten into this habit of just gettin the ball back across the net and waiting for his opponent to make a mistake which might work ok until you get to the big guns and they just go for it , any way coach Payne over and out. Take care Yung man say hello to Chelsea. Luv Dad. |
| 30th June 2006 Herr D. | WM - From: Stuttgart i hope you enjoyed the time here... greetings! |
| 29th June 2006 Chelsea | Oh Canada? - From: In German (Newspapers) Hey John, I just had to say congratulations on becoming a published writer! Back when I first read that entry I found it interesting because I had the same discussion with my friend who lives in Ingolstatd. He lived in Canada for a year and upon his return home to Germany he made the same observation about "patriotism" there as compared to Canada, etc. So nicely done! We're taking good care of Kristian here - he has not been eaten by any wildlife as of yet and seems to be enjoying himself! Some golfing and camping (and ice skating!) are in the works. Take care and keep us updated with news from Germany. |
| 29th June 2006 Bob | korrect spellen - From: Back in Canada, eh! Hi pudd an john its fantastic to hear from you two blokes on your blogs on the world cup, wot a fantastic shot of the aussie rules footy spiraling above the sky-line, i think you could sell that to the afl except that the footy looks round. Yeah and pudd i saw your car the other day drivin down racecourse rd although the it took me a few seconds at first to realise that it was your old timer and that the bloke drivin it looked like history in the world cup advertisements until i took another look and realised it was dease too late he'd go ne but i took a final look in the rear view mirror ,oh and daniel your back tail-ligts out. Anyway yung puddin great to hear from you and by the way,John i think some of your letter writing ability is starting to rub off o n pudd he is definitely improving which leads me to say Pudd that i am about to give you a long shot English lesson. | 27th June 2006 Tim | That's it. - From: Stuttgart Hi John. I read a part of your posting which was published in an important German newspaper (FAZ) on sunday. I have to say that I was moved when I discovered how precise some of our 'World Cup guests' evaluate the situation here. Especially the part about patriotism in Germany hit the nail right on the head. Thanks for that statement. Greetings from Aachen. Btw. It's a shame that Italy made it into the next round! |
| 27th June 2006 Linda | Well done Aussies! - From: Berlin. Berlin. Wir fahren nach Berlin! Hi Pudd hi John its mum (Linda) I'm not sure where you are at the moment Pudd,(possibly in Canada) as the last blog John entered you were'nt in the pic's but I need to get in contact with you urgently regarding some important documents that you need to sign ASAP. I'v tried to phone but have not been successful. Hi John love the picture of the footy as its flying through the air what a fantastic shot. To be apart of the atmostphere over there would be awsome. | 28th May 2006 Pam | - From: Rheinlandstraße Hey Johnny and puddy, glad to hear your both having a ball. Don't underestimate our socceroo boys johnny!!! Must say i'm a little disappointed with comment that brazil will "have no trouble DEMOLISHING the socceroos". Just fill u in that we did just beat the european champions Greece on thurs night here in Melbourne 1-0 with an Australian team which didn't include 3 of our starters and who had only been training together for a few a days. Pretty good i think. Keep up the good work. |
| 26th May 2006 Chelsea | On behalf of a fraction of team Salzburg.... - From: Rheinlandstraße Hey guys, Glad to hear you are still having a good time. Even though we are at home and back in the routine, Scott and I have been keeping the team spirit alive, mostly by going out WAY too much. No RB & vodka though - we like our whiskey here, so keep that in mind if you come back to Canada because we will give you a very thorough lesson, in English too. Eat some wurstl for me (and Kristian I know you want to smell a stranger's breath) and continue with your adventures....... |

| 21st April 2006 Hails | Yo Mama - From: Munich Hey Pudd, I miss your shananigans............this is taking a long time type because i am trashed and drinking with your bro on a friday night. we had a argument on the rules of poker and i need you to gag and tie him while i tell how to play. thursday nights at yours is now poker night so start saving your 5c pieces mofo cuz im gonna take em all! i'm so happy your havin a good time, im so freekin drunk, we've been watching these u.f.c vids there like wrestling videos and the competitors now like special forces tacktiks, mui thai, boxing, judo and a whole bunch of other cool shite and they basically just get into a ring and beat the ever living crap out of each other. its awesome....and the guys are hot 2 which is an added bonus..well most of the time...you kind of have to make allowances for some of their heads cuz they get punched a lot. ;) yo mama is hot. i've been fighting with my boss. i've taken the whole week off work cuz he's being a turd. i'm going back on wednesday to see how he copes with my new "rules". its crap how bosses take you for granted. i'm not gonna let him any more and that's why he's havin a sook cuz i've decided enough is enough. i rock and i deserve a pat on the back every now and again. i am looking forward to you coming back, your little bro has red hair and is very insecure because of this. he needs your support and i'm afraid that the lousy $5 AU you are paying me per week to befriend this "special dude" is quickly becoming inadiquate to my needs. I desperatly need you to re-asses the situation(give me a pay rise) i miss you and i love you and you're one my favorites so come home happy and safe and we can all drink to that, have an unbelievable time of your life puddy...................love always from hails xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ps - |
| 16th April 2006 Boofa | - From: Hello Hey guys, happy Easter from every one back home. It's good to know that u are coming home the day before my B'day, cos it means all my pressies will be coming from other countries, Cheers. If ur not sure on what to get just bring me back a swiss chick. Pudd, you and i both got a letter the other day with a fine of $52.40 for not voting during the Mornington Peninsula Shire Counsil Election. But do not concern urself my brother for i have taken the necessary precautions to ensure that thay will never bother us again. I threw both of those letters in the bin. I am just going to assume that everything will work it's self out. If it doesn't, those bastards will probably send out a second notice. A very clever tactic indeed. It is then that they shall indure the wrath of a flaming red nut, and that is someting no man wants to mess with. Or no woman for that matter. Well enough of that crap, u boys keep having fun doing what u are doing and we look foward to ur next update. Boofa. |
| 13th April 2006 bob | ich bin ein doughnut - From: Ich Bin Ein Berliner yes john in the words of JOHN F.KENNEDY he meant to say I am a Berliner but,on that famous day when he stood up there in front of all the Berliners he screwed up,as U.S. Presidents sometimes do,and what he actually said was I AM A DOUGH-NUT.now you can imagine the laughter that greeted that,any-way I have that on good authority from a barman on the cnr of 53rd and 2nd street N.Y. So pudd once again you strike at some outlandish time in the morning, but that's ok its all good,it's 7am good friday as i sit here going through your pics and yeah at this stage i'd still recognise you at the airport so thats promising. That's quite a view you had while you were kicking the anti-terrorist police butts, you guys have probably caused them a lot of trauma over that, they'll probably need counseling. Not much happenin here as i told you and so far nothing has turned up in the mail for you as per your request,so i will submit and sign off, keep up the photos and blogs, BLOGS weird word for a letter if you ask me. see ya's. |
| 13th April 2006 Linda, Bandon, Oregon | Hello Again - From: Ich Bin Ein Berliner Enjoyed your photos. |
| 12th April 2006 Erika | Hello from London! - From: Ich Bin Ein Berliner Yes, I'm finally here and my god it's cold! Today at least I was able to put on my sunglasses. Totally weird being on the other side of the world and not knowing where anything is. Anyway, talk shortly. |
| 12th April 2006 Katie | Anzac Day - From: Farewell To Prague Hey Guys, You sound like you are having a blast! Thought I would let you know that my sister and her friends are going to Gallipoli for Anzac Day too, would be very funny if you ran into them. Well she knows what you guys look like so don't be worried if some blonde comes and randomly starts talking to you guys...I'm sure you won't!! |
| 11th April 2006 riajane | just to clear things up... - From: Farewell To Prague hey guys just caught up and sounds like so much fun although im not sure i could cope with the cold, its damned near freezing here in lilydale and its probably nothing compared to what you guys are experiencing...oh and trust me i dont talk anywhere near as much as adam and shannon...like to the point that i tell them to shut up or move out!! me and rob are still sort of seeing each other...god knows when that will work itself out!! have fun my beautiful boys and stay safe xx |
