well...my travels are now winding down to the final days... its been 7 months since i gave up the daily routine and schedules of the work world to embark on yet another journey of mine. i departed from the illusion of everybody else's reality to allow myself to be brought back into my own. my eyes have been given the pleasure of watching spring, summer, and fall run their course. a beauty of wonders that engulfed me on a daily basis. waking up and noticing the blossom of each color and the birth of life in nature, was always a great way to start my day. there were days on the road, that i would literally just sit and stare at this awesomely awesome view for hours at a time. very soathing, relaxing, and peaceful. definately ... read more

a city, one of no comparison that i have yet to stumble upon...with great pleasures my fingers do the electric slide across these keys to the rythm of my thoughts, hoping to do justice to barcelona. arriving on a saturday morning, roughly about the time of midnite, the only importance that this day holds for me...is that it is the day of our arrival. after an anxiously rough sleep behind a bench in the airport...we do the morning rituals of nomadic explorers that spend the night in the airport...morning restroom breaks and coffee during the occasional people watching (which by the way is completely different in another country than in the states, i'll save that for another time) before we gather our thoughts, belongings and sense of direction. barcelona hugs the coast of the meditterranean sea ... read more

...the musky stagnant smell of cigarettes lightly floats throught the air...masked by tons of ac and oxygen being pumped into the casino...i take notice of this while sitting and patiently watching as my two friends (mandy and danny) are absorbed into the slot machines...these machines, look as if created by an acid fiend tempted to create a device that allows the odds to be in their favor in regards from takin souls and cash...such a fascinating device...my eyes then take a gander at the floor, carpet...but not just any carpet...carpet that has many patterns that seem to not go well with one another, but its the least on your mind as you are engulfed in this realm of "luck"...though, the carpet does look at one time in its life, it was of some high standard...when you ... read more

its been three weeks since butch dropped me off back home...and i'm still livin the dream... though, i must admit there are some pretty pie crazy jabbies down in these parts... so...i spent a week back home hangin with the fam and a few friends...did a nice little ceremony thing for JLG...those that were there, i truly appreciate it... then i caught a flight on down to the city of sunny orlando... and like an idiot...i tried puttin the word "plan" back into my vocabulary...but, again...shit falls apart...and living in 1989...its best to not plan...cause all they do is not pan out... so...Annie and Jason allowed me to spend a week with them in there place...it was a fun, drunken, yet relaxing time...pool and sun always add to a great day. finally ate at the gyro ... read more

...its official...the great roadtrip of 1989 has finally come to an end. a week ago today butch and i left shawano, wisconsin to return home (butch was needed to return home). we drove for about 8 hours, down wisconsin, through illinois, over into indiana...eventually, around 7:30pm our water pump crapped out on us, while on a toll road...so we pulled over...understood the damage, and proceeded to contact our RV club for a tow...we, eventually got picked up around 1-1:30am...and the next day, we waited for quite sometime for the mechanic to finish the repair...which ended around 3:30pm...so, it was back on the road... we finally made it to butch's house around 4-5pm on friday evening...just in time to hop up on the boat, hit the lake and watch the fireworks...after spending the weekend at his house, ... read more

...its been a long time, i shouldn't have left you... currently having coffee, looking out the patio of a log home at a beautiful dusk...slowly preparing for i believe to be yet another amazing evening here in shawano, wisconsin... well, we left st.louis possibly 2 weeks ago...and overall the experience was pretty descent. we also got to meet some pretty cool ass people there...shout outs to kyle, jake, cass, tard, jessica marie, ashyln, and kayla...(i got a pizza eating contest with her next time we cross paths)... if you get a moment to stop in st.louis, there are a few things i think you should partake in. first and foremost...city museum...definately a great spot to spend the afternoon at, its a mcDonalds playground on steroids...and no matter your age, you'll enjoy it. if you head towards ... read more

...still in st.louis...stayed a little longer than what we originally thought, however...it has treated us well. my brother lives in the heart of downtown, on the 6th floor overlooking a very happening street. randomly throughout the day, we'll open his windows and city watch. its definately entertaining to say the least. the art of parallel parking...not many people seem to have obtained this skill...its pretty effin funny. the meter maid...what a fearless woman, she doesn't play games...if you ever stop by this city and use meters, stay on top of them. and last but not least, its fun to just shout randomness out to those underneath you. even better if you break out into song. looking out of mickey's window...if you glance to the left, about two blocks away, you'll see a building called City Museum...and ... read more
