You know I was thinking to myself, what I am going to do to fill my evening, I had just come out of a movie and I was feeling kind of bored and in the mood to try something new. As I mounted my mighty steed (rented yamaha moped) I noticed some puddles on the floor of the parkade, I drove out and noticed more puddles, strange it wasn't raining much earlier. I pulled out on to the main road and took the next left and suddely I was under a foot and half of water, it was dirty and everyone was driving though it. I wasn't too concerned about the water, though i did feel bad for some of the flooded businesses. I soon turned off on a side street which proved to be worse. ... read more

Here are some pics of my trip to Kuala Lumpur the Capital of Malasia, overall it was a nice 4 day trip did lots of partying and saw some sites. Looking forward to my next visa run I am think Laos. Malaysian people are very kind, speak excelledn englisht and I ran into many backpackers which was a relief from the land of limited English and sexual tourists in Pattaya. Though make no mistake I do love Thailand and pattaya. I would hazard to say KL is the most modern city I have ever been too, so much money and business going on it really amazed me. I also enjoyed the multicultural aspect of Malaysia, I missed that vibe and reminded me of home. Unicultural Societies have some real short comings i can't quite describe it ... read more

One thing about travelling that really make things worth while is all the challenges along the way and the little victories that come with them. I've had many hard days, of being lost and sweaty only to find what i was looking for, and better sometimes too. Though travel is the very lonely I find company in my surroundings and purpose in the trials that each day brings. Travel is not easy not easy at all, I find it is far more effort than I any job I ever had was. One of my first big challenges was trying to find Scorpion Muay Thai, when you don't know any land marks understand the street signs or like asking for directions finding anythings can be a real challenge. My first effort was to simply ask a baht ... read more

Hey all, sorry to be neglecting my blog, finding time and reliable internet is a bit of a challenge here, but here I am none the less. My Flight err flights went really well, 4 hours 13hours and 3hours. When I arrived the airport suites hotel wasn't near the airport at all rather it was near the older domestic airport so it took an hour to get there. Took some time to recover from the jet lag like 3 days, oh rough indeed I am 13hours ahead though which is a lot for ones clock to take in. Once I was all ramped and ready I ventured out to visit kosan Road, a small community for backpackers tonnes of rooming houses and hotels and bars. I ended up staying at a place called the star dome ... read more

I think bungee jumping is going to become one of my regular hobbies. The rush of falling and accelerating was insane I was frozen in the moment and in complete awe of what was happening. It was like flying, I wasn't scared at all, it was like the world was coming towards me. It was a pure rush, no fear no distraction just positive energy. The splash kinda brought me back my senses. Well I guess i should start at the beginning, I have always wanted to do bungee jumping more so than sky diving, my first experience with it was watching people jump at West Edmonton mall, a whopping 50 feet I think, but it still looked like a blast. In preparation for this Ottawa trip I pondered things that Marie my gracious host and ... read more

Montreal Thus Far It has been great to see Yanis again, and this city is so beautiful. The first day I went to Mount Royal which is the big city park and watched the tam tams which are a bunch of hippie drummers like 50 of them chilling and playing muisc in the sun. SO So sO so chill, form there I moved up the hill and saw some dudes doing midevil battles twas a ton of fun I even tried it a few times but couldn't do much as the dudes are all really well practiced. Then I decided to get a Bixi, in Montreal you can rent bikes for like 3 dollars a day adn return them all over the place, I rode for 3 hours, it was so free. I almost went to ... read more

Montreal Tonight I chose to really live it up, I departed Yanis's place at about 6am and booked myself into the cheapest hotel I could find online. I am really loving second cup and their free highspeed internet, well not free but free with my new found addition to double expresso. I was quite surprised when I check into the hotel, it was called the hotel Ythe reviews were decent but I was quite surprised to see it was actually the YWCA and well it felt kinda like going to a homeless shelter oh well 40 a night I really cant' complain. The day was good and will be discussed my upcoming, montreal sights blogg. The night really started when I ran into Chris one of my hostel mates from Ottawa. It's kind of funny ... read more

So instead of spending all my time partying and recovering I chose to also take some pictures and learn a little at the various museums in the city of Ottawa. It's kinda funny how much more likely you are to visit a museum in someone else backyard than you are to visit one in your own. I haven't been to the Glenbow in 15 years...anyway. The Museums are ranked bellow I mean below: 4) Scence and Nature: I am not big into animals unless I am eating them, this museum was a huge collection of preserved animals and some fossils. My favourite section was the nature photography display, a close second was the fossil display. The had some fantastic shots of animals, my favourite was of gophers visiting a grave kinda eerie, but cool. I ... read more
