Okay...im sorry that i have been slacking on my blog, but ive been too god damn busy. in the last few days i have sailed the high seas on a pirate ship, ridden a gondola over a sulfer mine, got lost in a train station, fell ill to bullet train sickness (more on that later), found someones passport in tokyo then later ran into him in kyoto, explored castles, stumbled into a japanese wedding, went out with locals to dinner, and explored hakome, himeji, and kyoto i first would like to take the time to mythbust this place just in case any of you are thinking of travelling to japan in the future. 1. sushi...its the exactly the same as it is in america. 2. money. i had always heard that japan would be very expensive. ... read more

unfortunately i cannot read japanese, which has made certain aspects of this trip quite time consuming and difficult.....such as trying to post photos to my blog. as soon as i can find a computer that is not in japanese i will post about a thousand photos. Standing in the middle of a crowded subway-style train, my spirits were drained. it had been nearly 20 hours since i had last slept and I was too exhasuted to care about anything else. as the train inched towards tokyo... i would, every so often, catch glimpses of the outside world. things such as 7elevens, driving ranges, subaru dealerships, trees, and funny looking houses filled my vision. I was much to tired to take any pictures, start any conversation, or otherwise show any ... read more

The first three days of my travels brought me to San Jose California. to clear things up: I have too much fun to proof read my blogs....if you are looking for perfect grammar read a textbook. with that said...... for the 4th of july, chris and kevin (who I was staying with), had some friends in San Fransisco who had invited us over for dinner. I didn't take any photos of the get togeher but I assure you it was a hoot and we all had BBQ for dinner. earlier in the day, kevin had mentioned that we would be watching fireworks from the rooftop and i was hoping to have some amazing fireworks pictures. Nonetheless, the famous San Fransisco fog screwed up that plan. Hope you enjoy the rooftop photo of the fog....I sure did. ... read more
