Im back in Bangkok, but Im finally leaving, again for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. I don't really like Khao San Road that much. There is way too much going on. It's loud, bright, and kinda sad. There is a bunch of old white men with young Thai girls, boys, and ladyboys. It's rather disgusting. Im on the night train today at 6pm headed for Chiang Mai. Im ready to go trekking. I don't really have to say anything about the Full Moon. But i digress........It was the biggest craziest party i have ever seen. At least 10,000 people on the beach until 11am. Then there were after parties up the hill until late in the afternoon. Finally people started crashing around 4p-5p. Insane. I went in just as the sun was coming up. I couldn't make it any longer. We started at 11pm and kept going until 7am. Insane. It helps that you get these buckets with Sang Som(Thai Rum), coke, and Red Bull. The Red Bull here is not like back [View Full Entry]

There is so much traveling here in Thailand. You go from bus to boat to train to taxi or tuk-tuk. The delays are always long and boring. You get dropped off in the middle of nowhere at a bus stop and wait for hours with other backpackers. Theft is a huge problem on the tourist buses. While the bus is on the road someone stays underneath with all the packs and goes through them all taking money, passports, which they can sell, plane tickets, clothes, jewelry; anything they can get their dirty little Thai hands on. But on the upside you do [View Full Entry]

These are pictures of the first island i visited. Koh Phi Phi, Thailand. It's absolutly paradise. The most beautiful beaches i have ever seen. We stayed for a full week, snorkeling, diving, sleeping, laying on the beach, eating great food, and going to the local bar at night for socialising and such things people do at bars. The most amazing place on earth. [View Full Entry]

My first day of diving. We dove for 3 days, about 6 dives. I recieved my PADI divers liscense and can now dive anywhere in the world. We dove to about 55 feet. We saw eels, sea turtles, numerous tropical fish, and an octopi. Much fun. [View Full Entry]

Before I left around the middle of October I took 5 days to go to San Francisco to see two great friends of mine. Jamie Boatner and Thorin Burke. We spent time drinking and enjoying the cold autumn weather in SF. Thorin and I went on foot one day exploring the city. I got some great shots of the Bay Bridge, Golden Gate, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the City. Some how we ended up in an old school 'Die Hard' limo with boomarang on the back and everything. Only $30 to cart 5 of us across the city. [View Full Entry]

So before I planned to leave "home" I took 2 weeks before my flight to visit family and friends. It was quite strange having gone full blown for the last 2-3 years; A full load at school, including summers. Bartending 30-35 hours a week til late into the evening. To having a degree in my pocket and finishing a job I had worked at for nearly 3 years. Then walking out the door on September 28th with absolutly no responsibilities for the next 3 months but to get on a flight from LAX to Bangkok. What a feeling. I moved [View Full Entry]
