jaymiii - Jaymi Grant

As you all know I'm Jaymi, I'm brilliant and I'm about to go travelling with my boyfriend Nick. Eeek!! I'm setting off in just over a week and can't wait!! Now as I'm going to be out of the country for over six months, I'm really gonna miss all you guyz, soooo I would really, really appreciate the occasional e-mail to let me know how you all are! In turn I will update this thing as often as possible, which will hopefully be a few times a week so you can see what we are upto!!

Now before I go I would like to thank everybody for coping with me nattering on about my travelling for so long, in particular my Uncle Wilson for his advice and the wikid medical kit and other cool things he and Sue provided us with, Nicks cousins John and Sophie for letting us borrow their lonely planets' and safepacks' and last but certainly not least my brilliant wonderful amazing Dad for somehow managing to put up with me over the past 6 months!! Love you so much Dad and I promise I will write on here as often as poss :-)

I would be telling you about the fantastoc diving we did on Sunday, or the cool day we had just chilling out on the beach on Monday....but unfortunately all that has been overwhelmed by the events that occured on Sunday night.... Sun finally

Hey everyone!! Well we had a great last few days in NZ. Nick managed to get a days skiing in so he had funwith that. I was a bit terrified driving upto the ski resort though- the road was icy, windy and on the edge of a mountain. Arghh, looking over the edge was a steep drop. Not good!! We had to put snowchains on the camper but it was still sliding around a bit, eeek!!! Last few days in NZ

Well we're nearing the end of our trip- can't believe we have been away for over FIVE months!!! In some ways seems ages since I seen everyone etc, but in other ways it has flew by so quickly. Haven't got long on net, so speedy typing it is...prepare for even more typos than usual!! Well we're loving the South island- scenery is lovely- lots of greenery with mountains in background. South island

Well we left the family a few days back in Hamilton, really enjoyed our stay with them!! We didn't really do much while we were there, visited caves, had one day at some farmers show (oooh arrrr), some of it was cool - the animals for sale and the stalls- I bought some rather nice fudge yum!! But other stuff e.g. displays of various farming machinery wasn't exactly my cuppa tea!!! There was other stuff going on, like some guy with a chainsaw making sculptures out of a log! Sick of rainy weather...may as well be in england!!!

Well today is showing the first hint of sun through clouds for over a week...OVER A WEEK!!!!! AT ALI'S!!!

Well...............we're finally at our Ali's!!!!! But...I'll start from the beginning....soooooooooooo we picked up our camper in Brisbane, our Hippie camper!!! It's not too loud, it's white with a few purple flowers on!! Pretty nice actually. When I say camper it's actually a converted van. It's pretty good for what we need though, as Nick keeps saying "it's a very good use of space". lol. Fold away beds and tables and such like. All gets a bit annoying after so long though. Wet Fraser Trip

Well we have now arrived in Brisbane after 3 days and two nights at fraser island- the largest sand island in the world. The plan was for four geoup of nine or ten people to squeeze in four 4 x 4's and drive ourselves around Fraser!!! Sounds fun huh?! Soo we met our group of eight others on the morning we left. Sailing adventure

Well, after magnetic island we got a bus further down the East coast to a place called Airlie beach. We had booked a package which includes 2 nights free accomodation at a hostel, a trip on Fraser island (which we're about to do tomorrow) and a 2 night sailing expedition around the Whitsunday islands!!! Soo our hostel was cool, we upgraded to a private room which was a little hut type thing with it's own little kitchen where I cooked spaghetti for tea ooh exciting!!
