I know that poet's brother, Du Fus Well Blogboy, I must say that I'm enjoying your photos as much as your syllabalic musings! And I keep waiting for shots of those hot Chinese women, but alas you must be keeping them for you own selfish pleasures.
However, be careful of your intemperate remarks regarding the Panda, lest you find another interesting meat on a stick... your own!
Adios for now, but shoot like the wind!!
To get to the other entries just click on my picture, and it will take you to a list of them. Yes, I have have definately been craving pasta and sauce. I think one morning I actually woke up and just started thinking about eating a bowl of spaghetti, and I couldn't help but smiling. Chinese food is good, but it takes some getting used to.
re: guitar shops Yeah, I definately saw a bunch of fender bass knock-offs. The stores I went to, which were all on Xinjiekou just a little bit south of the second ring rd, had copies of most standard brands of guitars and basses (i.e. fender, gibson, epiphone, etc.) but I saw very few guitars that (in my opinion) weren't counterfeit. They were also much cheaper than American prices, so you could probably find a good deal. But if you plan on buying an instrument there make sure you know what you are looking for, because I saw a lot of manufacturing defects. And be prepared to bargain.
guitar shops I'll actually be heading to Beijing in the next couple of days. Did you by any chance see any Fender basses in the music shops there? If yes, were they expensive? I'm looking to get a bass, but they are pretty expensive where i come from. Thanks!!!
Yes When you buy it off the street, at the little stores and stuff, it is only 35 cents for a bottle. Its $2.50 american in the bars, but that's still pretty cheap. Yeah, maybe I will try mailing them home, even though I could probably make more money sending home counterfet beer, since that's the chinese thing to do these days...
Assimilation Only 5 days there, and already picking up the accent "... and now I writing...".
And Snopes confirms your doubts about Wall visibility from space. But I'm cornfused. Are beers $2.50 or $.35? And is there a happy-hour special? And can you mail them overseas? This is the China that we Americans REALLY want to know about! So keep up the good work!!
Dan-yo, you de man!
Your biting sarcasm cause me great pain 1. I am taller than everyone else here, and I almost hit my head on a bathroom doorway once, which turned out to be a warning sign since the smell in the bathroom was so bad I almost threw up. Imagine crap and garlic combined into the worst smell ever. It was awful.
2. I think Yao Ming is from North China, because there are actually some pretty tall people here. But he was home for vacation over the weekend, and so I challenged him to a casual game of hoops and destroyed him. Now they worship me as a god.
3. Yes. Its a good thing I'm in Nebraska, not China, because in China they block wikipedia. Those jerks.
Also, you might appreciate the fact that a 22 oz of beer only costs 35 cents American here. Tiggghhhht.
daniel= little girl how much taller are you than everybody,or is that a myth. also where is yao ming from? is he like a god or somthing over there? lastly, i'm pretty sure that you are not actually in china and that you are just photoshopping yourself in to wikipedia pictures.
I am impressed! Looking forward to more info, great stile! Like your clean shave.
I survived our 2007 recital and am recovering from it to leave next Wednesday for Germany. What should I tell you friends there?
Love

I'll be in Beijing for about six weeks this summer with a summer study program. I find it hard to write descriptions about myself. That's all. ... full info
