The chinese burn paper money, paper iPhone, paper house, everything you can imagine even paper mistress to their died family member, hope they can enjoy their life in another world.

Thanks for the clarification
I noticed a few days later some street vendors were selling fake money. It's a sweet gesture.

Bars
Lee's Bar is expat central. The sign is in English. It's in the complex behind the big KFC and Amo Steak, near the intersection of Xinhua West Road and Youyi Road. There's also Gordon's downtown which is new.

Not the ones I go to
I've even had a translator come along and the stores I went to don't have it. When I go to the city I'm sure they'll have some, but in my particular neighborhood? Nada.

I get paid waaay more than $150 USD a month; what I meant is that's all the money I brought with me from home and I don't get paid until next week. so all I have left is 100 yuan - but I can manage that for a week. I found out I can't transfer any funds from my bank account in America because I needed to do something at one of their locations, not online. I can always use my card to take some money out, I guess, but I think I'll be fine.

Like the photos!
Aron, your photos reminded me a lot of what China looked like when I visited in '05 --especially when you deviated at all from the beaten path of touristy spots. It's fascinating to see all the Communist architecture (especially when it was more orthodox pre-1995ish. Your housing looks just like the Communist housing that was given to people from Warsaw to
