The four of us, Blaise, Jovan, Sybil, Fairouz, are driving from Amherst over Chicago, the Bad Lands, Salt Lake City to Califoria and back again through the South!
The last few days flew by so quickly! After Memphis we drove over Birmingham to Atlanta to Augusta (where we watched the Soccer Game Germany vs. Portugal and Germany WOOOON) to Charlston to Raleigh to the Amish-Land and finally we made it to Massachusetts!! We met alot of funny, interesting and weird people. We had all kinds of weather: Hot sunshine, freezing snow and annoying rain. We heard alot very different accents, that we could barely understand. People could barely understand us, too. We saw Gas between 2.99$/ Gallon and 5.50$/ Gallon. We had good food (seafood in South Carolina was just the best!) We didn't have any confrontation with police during the 7300 Miles. Sybil would advice everyone on a road trip to remember a spare car key, travel coffee mug and to travel in ... read more
After driving through New Mexico (where we had mexican food), Texas, Oklahoma (Fairouz slept through the whole Oklahoma drive), Arkansas we finally made it to Tennesee at 6am! But since we were homeless until 2pm, we just lied in a park and walked around a bit. The people here are really nice. They just come up to you and start talking about random topics.... read more

We got to the Canyon at 11am. Perfect time to find a campground at Desert View. We went for a 8km (6 miles) hike. It was more than amazing!!! Not even pictures could capture this beauty! After the hike, we watched to sunset. And Blaise, the song goes "Hey! Teacher! Leave those kids alone!" not "hey! DJ!" :D We miss you!... read more
So Blaise gambeled all his money in Vegas. We had to leave him there. He lost his sunglasses. Sybil lost her wallet (again), and found it. Jovan lost his mp3, and found it. We got the car checked and were on our way to the Grand Canyon. We stopped at the Flinstone's Campground right before the Grand Canyon. It was a weeeeird but funny campground. The campground-owner instroduced us to his crew and his 'homeboy' Nick. And invited us to join them at their Flinstone-theme-park.... read more
We made it to Las Vegas after a hot day of driving. We drove through Death Valley, which is the hotest and lowest place in North America. It reached 120˚F today (49˚celsius). It was intense! We're staying at Circus Circus hotel and Casino. It's a busy place. The internationals all experienced their first drive through car wash, which was much needed after camping in Tahoe and then Yosemite. Speaking of Yosemite, the car was attacked by a bear, and we have proof! The bear pulled the passenger door away from the frame at the top. Luckily, in Bishop, CA the host of our campsite was able to bend the door back :). There have definitely been some interesting people along the way. For instance, the naked Cherokee indian man we met this morning at the hot ... read more
After we went for a hike at the State Park we wanted to make breakfast. But we were out of Propane. So we tried to grill the eggs, and we actually succeeded! We drove to Yosemite, but we didn't find an available camp ground in the park. So we camped at the Cranberry-something State Park.... read more
