well we made back to oz.....stayed with andrew.....was nice to be back in oz.....the over night bus trip from pucon to santigao was ok...nice bus...took us to the middle of nowhere woke up with the whole bus getting off...and we asked if it was going to down town santiago....the kept saying yes....so we were the last 2 on the bus to downtown.....then we booked a hotel room for the day....did last min shopping then to airport for flight to sydney....woohoo.....when we boarded the plane they told us (in santiago) that the plane was already 4 hours late leaving auckland to sydney.....but [View Full Entry]

what a nice (wooded) town......there is more trees in the buildings than in the land....really every house,shop,table,chair,street sign and even traffic lights are all made out of wood.....wierd for a village so close to and active volcano----lol........i (ian) have a really bad flu...and a lot of resting was done here.....j on the other hadn (nothing new here) went out and about.....did the climb up the volcano....came home buggered....we then hired a car and went out to the hot springs....oh so nioce and relaxing........right now we r getting ready to get on a bus ( TUR BUS) (and if it was t [View Full Entry]

wine wine wine and more wine......on the drive down it was wine yards everywhere.....but none...i mean none to visit....unlike oz....u cant just drive in.....and they were all closed yes u guessed it on a monday the day we drove past...lol......but that didnt stop us on nye.....we went up to the top of Valparaiso and had a few drinks on the street then found a really nioce restaurant.....were we met a maltese couple really cool....and had a 5 course dinner....with an open bar.....and we had sooooooo (really soooooooo) much wine.....the maltese couple were lovin it too....oh and the dessert win [View Full Entry]

well we have now left peru...on our down hill trip to santiago.... we are here in arica for 2 days to chill out and have some beach time....sun sun sun...and now not at any alltuitde yeah!!!!!! we flew from arequipa to tacna then taxi over the boarder to arica.....and now just chillin out while j sleeps after our 430 am get up fly 600am hmmm.....and now we r 2 hours ahead....nice longer evenings....woohoo.....beach later today and tomorrow.....then we r flying to santiago.....will write more there.....hugz to u all love ian an jason.... hope chrissy was good to u all.... merry xmas! well arequipa is such a lovely place.....worth the bus trip...lol....caught up with the gap group thatwe had been traveling with and had chrissy dinner on the 24th evening as they celerbrate chrissy then.... was a nice buffet....then went out for drinks and let off fire works was so cool......... then we had a chrissy lunch bbq and salads which me an j did for the group was so much fun...... this would have had to have been the best bus company in the world that we traveled with... " cruz del sur " peru.....they had the best seats best service best busses.....we traveled on them over night from cusco to nazca...what a long long 16 hours trip but was nice one...... as u can see we went on the plane over the lines...what an experience it was a small 6 seater and the pilot was our tour guide pilot and telephonist----(sms and talk on the phone whilst flying!!!!) and he threw the plane around so that all could have a look [View Full Entry]

well we did the "INKA EXPRESS" stopping at all the wonders on the way....some were gr8 and some not so!!!! it took 10hrs but was worth it......it was like the xmas shopping busses that do the factory outlets!!!!! wade you would have loved it!!!! then we arrived in cusco "mace (tear gas) can in hand" we caught a taxi!!!! and made it to our hotel...with a few diversions (thought i was going to have to us the can) down dodgee streets....and started saying " pare..pare....pare...." and cusco is a nice town with heaps of inca buildings.....off to marchu picchu next!!!!!!
