Bolivia May I please count your fingers and toes when you get home?
Was your bed in the Salt Hotel also made out of salt? (What happens when you sweat?)
Love you,
Aunt Ellen
I can't believe you guys are still smiling, even after 52 hours on a bus! I liked the dune buggy - is it completely enclosed? And, how was the four-seater airplane? We're all really looking forward to seeing Rachel for Thanksgiving. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
We love you,
Ellen and Jay
Hi! Hey guys! I just googled 'Ian and Rachel travel blog' and yours was the first that came up! Looking forward to watching you on ur travels. Take care and have (even more) fun! Jemma and Mike x
Zanzibar I love your photos, especially the lions resting on their backs. I hope you'll be making a book. Glad to see you're still smiling! Melanie had a bus leave without her in South America, and it had her luggage. Maybe that's how cab drivers increase their income.
Love to you both,
Aunt Ellen
:) Yippeeeeeeeee Ian and Rachel,
Very cool trip in Tanzania. Man, you make me want to go to Zanzibar! You look great with the fish, Ian!
I can't wait to look at the blog for the rest of Africa. There is no way you really enjoyed those hot bus trips!
:) Miss you folks!

gorillas Great gorillas! Did you guys have to wear face masks to protect the gorillas from your germs? I was wondering if that is what gorillas think we look like?
Love ya,
Aunt Ellen
Africa Thanks for another wonderful set of photos. Do you think all purse-snatchers are really baboons? Glad you're okay, and had such helpful people around. We love you and miss you.

Very cool! Now Kenya, huh? Ian and Rachel!
So cool! I can't believe all the things you saw and did in Egypt. You really are seeing the world! Poor Ian with the carb overload. Too bad Pemba wasn't around to bring you sausage and yak cheese!
:) Have a great time in Kenya!
news you could use Hi Guys:
Looks like you are having fun as you approach the halfway mark on your adventure. Back here we are waiting to the end of tax season and getting exhausted. Allison is gettign large and the new babay will be called Samual. business is good still dealing with the same problem clients, but have picked up several more. Spring is here and everything is in bloom. My garden is keeping the employees stocked with oranges, grapfruit and veggies.
Travel carefully and keep in touch

traveling before marriage! Hey there,
I think its a great idea to go traveling together before you get married. It's amazing the things you learn about each other while traveling. Me and my now fiance spent a year in Africa traveling around. The most important thing we learned was to always have some sort of snacks available, so that way when ever one of us would get grouchy, we'd tell the other to eat something. - it helped!
Have a great trip!

well done Looks like you guys are making good progress, but there is still time for investors in the office pool to cash in on the big bucks. Jsut got back from a one week trip to the UK. Saw the grand kids and had a good time. We are having the office party at our house on the 19th so we will have a toast to you two. Keep in touch and keep us up to date.
Love Richard
Happy Thanksgiving! Happy Thanksgiving Rachel and Ian! Thanks for the updates and pics... wow, so interesting! You know how much I love dance and culture, but even I would have left after an hour of head nods! LOL... take care and have fun. We miss you!
We recently got engaged and decided to backpack the world for a year. We are excited to share all of our travel stories and pictures with you!
