I spent the last three days in Mexico City, Mexico. I was not kidnapped nor robbed but yet not disappointed about that. Over three days I saw all that Mexico City had to offer. Day 1 - March 18, 2008 I arrived in Mexico City at Noon. I went from the airport by authorized taxi to my hotel. From there I walked around the streets till I settled on my first meal in Mexico City. I know very little spanish so the trip was an interesting experience of trying to communicate with the people of Mexico City. My first meal consisted [View Full Entry]

The cruise ship docked for the last time in Vancouver, British Columbia. I had to leave the cruise ship home I had lived in for a week. Now on to the city of Vancouver. The city of Vancouver is beautiful. The city has no highways and alot of buildings and malls are located under the city. We visited Stanley Park and toured some of the rest of the city. We checked into our hotel and then headed to China Town to explore the markets and have a great dinner in China Town. I had a dish of shreaded Duck and [View Full Entry]

I have arrived in Ketchikan, Alaska to another fabulous sunny day. This has been one of the best cities in Alaska so far for wildlife viewing. First off I tendered in to port to look around the city before going on my excursion by boat to see Misty Fjords. I boarded a high speed boat to travel to Misty Fjords. On the way to the Fjords I was able to see Orca Whales, Humpback Whales, Sea Lions, and I got my best picture of a Juvenile Bald Eagle. Bald Eagles heads do not turn white till they are at least [View Full Entry]

My cruise adventure continues in the small town of Skagway. In winter the town of Skagway only contains 700 residents but during the summer when the tourist swarm the town the population explodes. Most of the summer workers have to live in a tent camp in town and pay 300 dollars a month for an 8 x 8 ft spot. Well finally the famous Alaskan rain caught up with us in Skagway with a cold steady rain. In Skagway I boarded the White Pass and Yukon Railroad to 6 miles to hop off with the hiking group to hike several [View Full Entry]

Juneau, Alaska is the capital of Alaska but there is no roads that connect it with the rest of Alaska. The only way to get to Juneau is by boat or airplane. After docking in Juneau I went on a float plane trip over the Taku glacier. Not to far from the city was miles of snow and ice. In fact the Taku glacier goes on for up to 70 miles. To really see alaska you have to get above [View Full Entry]

We set sail last night at 9:00 pm and we are on our way to College Fjord and then on to Sitka, Alaska. I awoke this morning at 6:00 am as we were entering College Fjord. College Fjord contains an assortment of massive glaciers. The cruise ship couldn't get to close to the glaciers because there was still alot of pack ice still in the water and it would have put the cruise ship in danger if we would have gotten closer. However, we still were able to see the massive glaciers. The temperture outside was a brisk 42 degrees [View Full Entry]

Today we took the Train from Anchorage, Alaska to the small city of Whittier, Alaska. The train trip was great with amazing scenery. I wish we could travel more often on trains. The trip was beatiful with lots to look at. There were mountains, oceans, eagles, goats, and a moose. We arrived at the small town of Whittier but the weather had already turned cloudy, cold, and rainy. We decieded to board the cruise ship right away and prepared for it to sail at 9:00 pm. The next time you will hear from me I will be at sea and sailing [View Full Entry]

This summer I have embarked on a small adventure to cruise Alaska. I am currently in Anchorage waiting to go to the train station to travel to the carnival cruise ship. Last night we arrived in the Anchorage airport at 9:00pm with the sun brightly shining. It was hard last night to get use to the sun setting well after midnight and rising just a few hours later. The weather is fantastic at the moment and I should be leaving for the train in a few hours. The next time I write I will be setting sail from the small town [View Full Entry]

I took a cruise to Cozumel and Progesso in Mexico. While in Progresso I headed to the Mayan Ruins of Chichen Itza. The ruins were wonderful. I was able to see the Pyramid, the Ball Court, and several places where men where sacrificed to the gods. Enjoy the photos and thanks for stopping by. [View Full Entry]
