living the dream <3 ... on august 17th 2008 i will be saying farewell to sunny gourock! heading to south east asia (thailand, laos, vietnam, cambodia and malaysia... hong kong too?!) for 5 weeks of hardcore partying and visiting as many animal sanctuaries physically possible! whats even more exciting is the lovely alison morrow by my side for a year, yaldi! "i'm not drinking in asia" ... this i have to see. heading to sydney thereafter... plan is to nurse for 6 months, we will see! renting a flat on coogee beach 5 minutes away from the prince of wales hospital, it could happen! touring australia from march/april for 2 months, possibly renting out a banger and hitting the road, cannot wait! then comes new zealand, south and north island, before jetting off to fiji for some hardcore sunbathing. july will welcome LA and NYC then back home to bonny gourock. distance makes the heart grow fonder, miss you already... x

lampang elephant conservation centre!

another action packed day! and not just any day, one that i've been waiting for my whole life! if its good enough for the mighty craig busch its definitely good enough for me! lampang elephant conservation centre, home to lots of cute elephants that know a trick or two, and an awesome elephant hospital, one of the first of its kind! met 2 asian woman that wanted to take us home (tempted, but i watch the news) and managed to sneak in another cheeky elephant ride before heading off to pai! overnight train to chaing mai!

14 hour train to chaing mai! after waking up very hungover, we headed of to bangkok train station, wow! met mr bean on the train (cutest wee foreign guy ever), ate alot of pringles (welcome to the next 5 weeks of our lifes) and finished p.s.i love you (yes, i cried!). at about 10pm our beds got made - beds on an over night train that cost about 5 quid, yeeha! i bagsied top bunk (nearly fell over every time i tried to go to the bathroom!). 14 hours passed not too badly and arrived in chaing mai about 8am august [View Full Entry]

bye bye marriott!

so after 4 glorious days and nights of marriott we said our farewells, and headed to our favourite, koh san road! next adventure of the journey, where to next?! found a handsome tuk tuk driver who chauffered us about bangkok for what felt like a lifetime. funniest moment ever: lack of sleep and hunger whilst talking to a cute little travel guide, laughing hysterically and typying 'boobies' on his calculater, declined his offer and went to other travel agent. thus our trip to chaing mai was born! back to koh san road for a well deserved burger king (when in rome) [View Full Entry]
