(Before Google) Once upon a time in the wild, wild pre-Google age of the mid 1990’s, around 5 B.G., when the world wide web was new and fresh, people used link, or content, farms and free-for-all (FFA) pages to gain traffic and page rankings. A “farm” was a webpage with junk text on it, and each word or phrase could be used as a keyword to link to someone else’s website.
