So, This past Easter weekend the Gabis went to Villa Gesel, on the coast, to get away for a a bit. Friday Feb 22 Us district 4910 exchange students from la plata met up in the bus terminal here, and took a 4-hour and a bit bus ride to Merlo. In Merlo was the travel Agency. we waited for a few hours, so we ate lunch, and met some other exchange students that were also one of the first few to board the bus, who were all from the city of Buenos Aires. And Grandpa´s officially Argentino...... seriously! He has: *Eaten Asado *Eaten Dulce De Leche *Eaten Empanadas *Drank Quilmes *Drank Mate *Danced the Tango *Walked infront of taxis without looking and when it was definitely not his turn to walk. This past Wednesday and Thursday I didn´t really do much due to the heat being absolutely unbearable. On Saturday, I got together with Paula Vivani, and we went to The Repu.(La Republica). This past week has been weird weather, raining,then hot, then cool, and all over again. That night I went to the video store with Gabi and we rented a movie called Man To Man. Iliked it a lot, I´d reccomend seeing it..It´s about some researchers from Europe that are studying the pygmies (correct spelling?), and they sort of treat them like animals,putting them on exhibit, taking them from their home land, and stuff. I think it´s been a sufficient amount of time for an update.... That Monday , not so long after I wrote my blog, I called The Szuluzki (or something like that) residence, a contact that Mikey found for me, a friend of a friend that lives in La Plata, who´s Jewish. sooooooo this is my second day with this host family, I arrived two nights ago. On Friday night Cele and I tried to go to Shul, but it was closed when we got there, so we went to her friend, Andrea´s hosue for dinner with some other girls,played cards, and talked.... We got home that night, Ailén wasn´t sleeping upstairs with Patricía because Mario went to Gulaeguay, so I slept in Cele´s room, and we discussed stuff, went to sleep, and woke up to a text message at like 4:30 or something from Signe asking if I was in La Plata. Yesterday was a hang-out day... I baked snickerdoodle cookies with Ailén, and half of them turned out burned.oops. Completely my fault on that one there... Rebekah also came over but then went home to go work out at the gym. Before she went to the bus stop to go home we rented a movie so she could come back later that night to sleepover and we´d watch it. I have written in my agenda that I got for Christmas for Tuesday, the 15th of January: Rotary Reunion, big head, never gonna return again, and peter.
