I arrived safely Sunday night and spent all Monday unpacking. Now that's a job in a half. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Vermont/blog-354731.html The non Grated Temples... I am done with my safari and now I am headed back to Khajuraho to catch my flight to Delhi. Now I have an extra day here just so I can see the temples that were built over 1000 years ago. These are very unique temples there's none like them anywhere else in India. I have to admit that the temples almost don't make sense to me since India is such a repressed country. It's rare to see men and women http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Madhya-Pradesh/Khajuraho/blog-353621.html Is the 3rd time a charm It was pretty foggy as the sun rose over the grasslands. I kept thinking to myself how lovely it is to watch the sun rise and hear the birds greeting the morning. It's my last safari in Bandhavgarh. After yesterday's grand tiger show I was wondering if we would see more tigers or if they would lay low this morning. When we met up with our guide he said that there hadn't been any sightings as of ye http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Madhya-Pradesh/Bandhavgarh-NP/blog-353600.html A long way to go The trip to Bandhavgarh National Park was a long one. I took a 2 hour flight from Delhi to Khajuraho and met up with my driver for a 7 hour ride into the middle of nowhere. By the time I arrived at the Jungle Lodge it was pitch black and so quiet. They gave me masala tea and some cookies which was so nice after such a long trip. I settled into my room which was a cute little cottage. It was lovel http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Madhya-Pradesh/Bandhavgarh-NP/blog-353243.html I hear her It was nice to be able to just relax and try to warm up from this morningrsquos jeep ride. I was so cold it took a few hours to defrost. So even though it was warm when we left for our second safari of the day I brought my jacket. Lessened learned. Vivsvat our naturalist said that itrsquos usually rare to see a tiger in the early evening since itrsquos still warm out and the tigers prefe http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Madhya-Pradesh/Bandhavgarh-NP/blog-353225.html You are good luck ldquoPlease note that while the above mammals are found in the Bandhavgarh National Park their sightings are a matter of chance. We have had guests that have seen most of the mammals while others have seen fewer. Please do not have very high expectations. With high expectations come bigger disappointments so do spend time taking in the sights and sounds of nature and enjoy the forest in its t http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Madhya-Pradesh/Bandhavgarh-NP/blog-352764.html home away from home... It's funny that I would consider New Delhi my second home but for this moment in time it is familiar and that feels good.We left early this morning by train and it took about 7 hours to finally arrive. The train made a lot of extra stops but the main thing is we got to New Delhi safe and sound.I haven't unpacked because hey I'm flying out in the morning so why bother. Oh boy this will be a very http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/National-Capital-Territory/New-Delhi/blog-351852.html A day off at Rishikesh... I mentioned to Zakari that we should take advantage of our last day in Derhadun and go check out Rishikesh which is only about an hour or two drive away. He agreed and I talked to the school who arrainged for a driver right away. I told Sandeep that we're going to Rishikesh and that he needs to come with us. Especially since he wont have anything to do since his students won't be in class. So aft http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttarakhand/Rishikesh/blog-351807.html Alright The flights have been booked and the hotels are reserved. I am going on my long awaited safari. It is hard to believe that I only have a few days left. I will not say that time has flown by because it hasn't. There have been times that it felt like time stood still or even gone backwards but the rest of the time has moved so quickly. I've met so many interesting and fun people. The memories that I have made here and the stories that I can tell are worth all of the inconveniences. The reason for this is because the music is so loud it drowns out everything else The hallways at the hotel here just echoed with the music. Mom the pimped out cars with the base booming so loud that you can feel them before they drive past you have nothing on these wedding processions. We can't forget the mashed potatoes n' gravy cranberries and green bean casserole. Yum. It's not good to be talking about food when you're hungry it's worse than grocery shopping while you're hungry. It took us about 4 hours to get t http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttarakhand/Mussoorie/blog-348330.html OH NO GREAT I'm out of money. That wouldn't be a problem except I lost my ATM card so now I'm broke. So what do you do when you're in a foreign country and penniless Easy take a deep breath and get a job at a local restaurant. Unfortunately when you can't pay your expenses the hotel can keep your bags. That just stinks The restaurant that I'm working at wont allow you to work in jeans so I had to http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttarakhand/Dehradun/blog-347831.html So what am I doing here I figured that it was time to show you what I am actually doing over here in Dehradun besides playing tourist. I wasn't sure if R100 was the normal rate for a rickshaw or if I was being taken advantage of. I learned that it all depends on what you are willing to pay and where you want to go. LOL Honestly I am only half kidding on that. But you talk to other people and you quickly learn what the going rate for thin http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/India/Uttarakhand/Dehradun/blog-346526.html
