I know, I know. I dont get to see or chat with most of you for long periods of time and then I go and disappear all together. I appologize. I would do better to travel more so I can keep in touch with all of you. So I happen to visit Tennessee not so long ago. And let me tell y'all, that its quite nice. Got to practice some of my southern accents and of course some southern cook'n. Gotta say, that I did not have any gritts while I was there. But that was ok with me since I [View Full Entry]

for hours and hours on the way up there.
A friend of mine went to school at Berkeley. That's in northern California for all you non-locals. There was this big rivalry game coming up and my cousin was selling tickets to it. So I told my friend Josie that I could get her and Rudy (her husband) some tickets. She jumped at the chance. About a week later I was dropping them off at her house the day they would be driving up there. We chatted for a bit and then they asked if I wanted to go... (this was friday) I quickly went over my schedule in my head [View Full Entry]

Czech-Mate

Europe » Czech Republic » North » Prague
Hope you're sitting, this is a bit long. Left Ayerland and headed east. Eastern Europe that is. Straight to the home of Budweiser Budvar, in the Czech Republic. Prague to be exact. Technically this is my third time over here to Europe. And I must say that I have been quite dissapointed with myself for not making it over to Prague earlier. It never crossed my mind to visit this city till (like many other of the places I have ended up in), it was suggested to me by a friend. Damon brought it up when we were in Firenze some [View Full Entry]

Visiting old friends in England
Visiting old friends in England
Seems like ol'times. Hey remember that time we all got together and had beers? Ya I remember it like yesterday.
I have landed in Dublin, Ireland. This country is probably mostly known for its rolling green countryside, amazing seacliffs, and general beauty of the land. Ya, well I didn't get to see any of that. Mostly because I just stayed in Dublin the entire time. And had a blast doing it. I did see the greenness from the plane though. Nice. Ended up staying with Katie's step-brother, Sean and his partner Annette. Both really cool people and very lay back. There was an Italian girl staying with them too, so it was like I was staying in a very exclusive hostel. [View Full Entry]

Why?
Friends in Ireland

OK, so in case you don't know or haven't heard yet... The Cardinals won the world series in game 5. It was actually the fourth game, but it got delayed due to the rain and ended up being played on Friday. Either way we got to be there and had a phenomenal time. I know I mentioned that the Red Bull Soap Box Races were in town. Well people from all over the US packed up their home built contraptions and drove to St Louis to compete. Didn't get to see the race but we were in the parking structure that [View Full Entry]

Come on
Come on
We all saw this one coming.
I know its been a while. Sorry about that. But I have been home tending to things and trying to be normal for a while. Unsuccessfully though. So Im off. A buddy of mine is playing for the Cardinals so we just had to come and lend our support. For those of you who are not in the 'know', Im talking about baseball. Its a game that we have here in America that is a take on cricket. Better though. Just because Im home doesnt mean that my feet are nailed to the ground. There are plenty of things that [View Full Entry]

The view of Queen Mary from Colbys suite.
Turns out Colby, a good friend of mine, was getting married and wanted me to be in the wedding. Couldn't say no to that and caught a flight home for the nuptuals. Flying home is always a joy. I got a seat in the middle section of the plane on the aisle. I was elated to find no one had got on the plane with a ticket sitting next to me. I had the aisle on my right and an empty seat on my left with a couple at the other end of my row. Plenty of space for myself. Started [View Full Entry]

penny for your thoughts
penny for your thoughts
A reason to wax your eyebrows.
To be perfectly honest, Paris is not one of my more favorite places. Last time I was there, it was so dirty. But I must say, Paris has done some work. It was very clean and we had a great time seeing all there is to see in the City of Lights. What can I say about Paris? For those that have been, you know. You know how difficult it can be to get around on one of the most confusing metros I've ever been on. You know how difficult people can be if you dont 'parlay France'. You know how [View Full Entry]

Could really use a signal here.
Well I finally made it to Venice, or Venezia, as the locals call it. Was really upset with myself that I didn't get to visit this famous city last time I was in Italy. But now I have made it and I think I can forgive myself. Venice just happens to be one of the most expensive places in Europe. COOL. I didn't want my money anyway. Actually though, it wasn't that bad. Found a campsite outside of the city that was pretty cheap. Very nice too. The only down side was catching two buses into Venice or a water taxi. Tour de Marcus

 Europe » France
If you come across this bunch..

Take cover, they are considered very dangerous.
France is an interesting place. Its a huge contry, by European standards. So it turns out that we met three guys to head up north with. Woody, Mark, and Pat. Woody told me that he was an avid cyclist and these three guys were as down-to-earth and entertaining as they come. I enjoyed watching them disagree and enjoyed their arguements. Silly as they might be. Go figure. Came to find out that Woody had talked them all into heading to the north of France to a small town along Frances coastline called Lorient. Well guess what was happening in this town [View Full Entry]
