Your chance picture - From: Kyushu Basho - Day 4
Hi, I was researching some Kyushu basho stuff because I want to go this year. Been everywhere else so might as well try. I came across your blog & how exciting to see your "chance picture" is with two of my best friends. They are from Onomatsu beya. On the right Kurosawa & left Keno. It is a small world afterall!! I enjoyed your pics too & I may stop by Shigenoumi's chanko place while I'm there.... but I'm usually exhausted after 8-6 of sumo every day for 15 days!!! Take care,Viki

Reliving my memories - From: Meeting the warrior kings
I lived in Mongar from October 1990 to May 1992, teaching in what was then Mongar Primary School. Recently I was telling someone about the Yadi loops and gave a google search and came across your site. Nice pictures. Shocking changes in the town. Wonder what my little school and my house in front looks like.

Love that picture! Got tickets for Nagoya as well. After some detective work it seems they got a bit of a chaos there in Helsinki airport as the new terminal will be ready later this year, but hopefully it's smooth sailing for me. Plus seems they are getting new fleet soon too(Finnair that is).

Redhancer, huh? - From: Back on solid ground
I can try that next time. Although any filter will also dampen the incoming light, so there is a greater chance of motion blur unless you have a really fast lens.

Regarding the clowns I am thinking Amphiprion ocellaris or Amphiprion percula, guess some more research will be needed.

Thank you for the advice! - From: Mission to Jambi
Your information is most welcome, as I don't like to spread false information around! :) Yes, the trip to Jambi really was a short one, I think sometime in the future I need to come back and take it slowly. I really liked the little villages lining the road to Muara Jambi. Houses on stilts, small mosques, everything seemed so calm.

my small city - From: Mission to Jambi
I am glad that you made it to Muara Jambi Temple. There's less tourist attraction here in Jambi. There's much things to see outside Jambi, too bad you have not much time to spent here. But lucky, you see the oldest Sriwijaya temple already. They do made a yearly festival at Muara Jambi Temple, i think it's good to attract tourist to come to Jambi. Btw, i think what you call "City hall" is the Governor Office and next to the Governor office is the house of representative for Jambi and the food, "jawa noodle" is actually "soto" yes its right, its from Java (some other province have similiar foods). I live near the Governor office. Hope you could really visit Jambi next time. Cheers !
