I came across your blog & how exciting to see your "chance picture" is with two of my best friends. They are from Onomatsu beya. On the right Kurosawa & left Keno. It is a small world afterall!! I enjoyed your pics too & I may stop by Shigenoumi's chanko place while I'm there.... but I'm usually exhausted after 8-6 of sumo every day for 15 days!!! Take care,Viki |

After some detective work it seems they got a bit of a chaos there in Helsinki airport as the new terminal will be ready later this year, but hopefully it's smooth sailing for me. I really liked the little villages lining the road to Muara Jambi. Houses on stilts, small mosques, everything seemed so calm. |

There's much things to see outside Jambi, too bad you have not much time to spent here. But lucky, you see the oldest Sriwijaya temple already. They do made a yearly festival at Muara Jambi Temple, i think it's good to attract tourist to come to Jambi. Btw, i think what you call "City hall" is the Governor Office and next to the Governor office is the house of representative for Jambi and the food, "jawa noodle" is actually "soto" yes its right, its from Java (some other province have similiar foods). I live near the Governor office. Hope you could really visit Jambi next time. Cheers ! |
