On the ferry goin along the grand canal and the ambulance goes past, a boat! there are no cars or motor bikes at all in Venice all boats! crazy shit hey! If you walked through those doors by foot you would have all your sins forgiven! Sweet as lets go! Then the guide tells us they had been sealed up after the holy year, bugger! Day 1- i left the hostel & walked to the republica cabic fountain, then to the colocca tranian ( huge pilla with a dude on top), the monumento avittrio emenuele 2nd, the arcodi titi & palatina (all the ruins, excavated and left as is, 1000;s of years old), the colosseum , Bloody impressive). Hola, Buenas dias, No espenal! Gracias, adios! That is about all the spanish i've learnt in a week! I got into the bus staion and went to the hostel but it had a minimum of 2 to a room (& i was only uno) so luckily i had another hostel address written down, so i went ot the mad hostel. After a pretty good bus trip from Barcelona (xmen2 in spanish & all) i got into Val. I found my way to the hostel all good & this hostel was alright (the nest). It was not even a year old, free net, pool table, darts, lounge, little verandas lookin over the street, sweet bathrooms (lots of hot h2o) & all right in the middle of town. What do u call this!? Ice in my whisky, r u mad! Working in the local pub in Conon Bridge (The Duck) u quickly learn how the locals take their whisky. I worked a couple of shifts a week in the duck as well as working full time in oddbins a wine a whisky shop (bottleo) in Inverness. We had some expensive shit too, £300 bottles of whisky, £50 bottles of wine & £100 bottles of champers. Even though I’ve been working heaps I’ve been lucky to do heaps of other stuff too. Cold, wet & windy & dad is still sporting the boardies & pluggas! Edinburgh is an impressive city, big old buildings, monuments, parks & the huge castle looking over all. We stayed a night in a pretty good hostel ( but make sure u sleep in your number bed or u could get woken up in the middle of the night) Then the next day we went up to the castle for a look, lots of cannons, museums & a tone of history, v interesting.
