| 26th October 2009 NEIL STATHAM | WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE - From: Sun Maid Raisin Factory Store My wife and I were on a 15 day coach holiday in California ( All the way from Birmingham England ) in May 2009. Our driver pulled into your factory for a comfort stop and what a wonderful surprise it was. We have these in the UK and it was nice to see where they came from. Your staff were good enough to open up the toilets for 44 very grateful brits and we all could not resist topping up with raisons to last us for the rest of our holiday. Thank you again for kindness Neil & jean Statham YUM YUM YUM |

| 27th July 2009 J Kidd | Wow - someone else knows kingsburg? - From: Sun Maid Raisin Factory Store Our entire family is from anaheim, ca and when my parents purchased a "vacation" home in kingsburg, I thought that they were nuts. But, upon exploring its surroundings, a whole new world became apparent beyond the "oc.". We now look forward to stationing ourselves at our parents "kingsburg compound" where we stow our boats for trips up to uncrowded shaver and huntington lakes, trips to the sunmaid raisin factory, picking grapes, the local cheese factory, etc. etc. Our children look forward to these family vacations vs. our annual hawaii vacations. Who knew! |
| 12th July 2009 golfkat | Glass and Class - From: Musee du Louvre The glass pyramids stand at the above ground entrance to the Louvre. It is a nice design but creates too much heat on a sunny day, beneath the pyramid. Try to go on a weekday, as weekends are ridiculous. Recently, the French were voted the worst tourists in the world. Take your guess on what happens on their own turf. |
| 12th July 2009 jj | french rocks - From: Musee du Louvre i have never been to the museum myself but i am learning about it at school and its realy interesting to learn and the class pyramids look im hoping to vist there in the summer holidays french rocks!!!!!!!!!!! |

| 25th June 2009 Stephen Paul | You too?? - From: Sun Maid Raisin Factory Store Hello, sorry I must not have seen the comment you posted on my Puerto Natales, CHILE blog! After poking around your posts I saw this one, thinking I would comment that "Hey, you visited my hometown!" imagine my surprise to see its your hometown too?! haha KHS class of 1994! My mom was KHS class of 1966. Anyways my camera works great in cold weather, but i always carry a cotton cloth to keep it dry and clean the lens. The more Spanish the better your trip in Chile, but I suppose its possible to get by without too much! |

| 14th February 2009 anonymous | - From: Enduring A Taste Of Durian When I saw Andrew Zimmern spit a piece of durian outta his mouth, I couldn't believe it. This guy eats just about anything and the durian got him on his knees. He told Jay Leno of the Tonight Show he can't handle the durian. Look at the row of durians when you open the fruit, doesn't the row look like a nice stool? Sure makes it tastes like one. I tell ya when you grow up eating them, they taste like heaven. Ever tried ice-cream durian? Mmmmmmmmm! Maybe they have them in Asian markets in the US. |

| 28th January 2009 Los Mineros | Reply to your questions (Los Mineros) - From: Jet Boating Shotover, Queenstown, NZ Hi Gery, thanks for all your comments on your blog. Yours looks nice too with all these famous and beautiful places you have written about. The Argentinian police was all the way helpful indeed... The camera was forgotten (=lost by somebody else) in Torres del Paine in Chile and has not reappeared so far. Locals are very friendly and understanding if you donīt speak good Spanish, though we do recommend you to learn basic sentences to show your willingness to meet them. Enjoy your trip. Los Mineros |

If you decide to make the trip out again I would highly recommend doing an organized tour.
