Met up with Alex in the Airport first thing in the morning and got a chance to catch up a bit! He had been traveling for a few weeks already in Vietnam and Cambodia so he already had some interesting stories to tell :) We got on our flight and arrived in Koh Samui around 7 am. Finally in Bangkok! I walked off the plane, went through immigration and grabbed my backpack. It was about 9:30 pm local time when I arrived, which translates to about 7:30 am Pacific. My flight left Vancouver at 1:45 pm to Bangkok via Tokyo. I had a number of drinks at the airport and on the plane to pass the time... I have to admit I was a bit nervous and excited to finally be off after months of planning and I had no idea what to expect in SE Asia!
